We stayed at Villas de Santa Fe because I had purchased a Groupon. It was a great value for the money we spent. Location is perfect, 10 minutes walk to the center plaza and great restaurants. The Villas offer outdoor pools and spas, a workout room and shuttle service. We didn't use any of these so can't tell you how they were. The room we had was spacious and included a living area complete with full kitchen (dishwasher, fridge, microwave, 2 burner cooktop and all the dishes and cookware), dining table and chairs, seating area, 2 flatscreen TV's (one in living area, one in bedroom), plenty of storage for clothes but not food and bathroom. The only issue we had that the bathroom door didn't shut properly. Since it was just two of us, it really didn't matter. The bed was comfortable and there were plenty of pillows and extra sheets and blanket.

If you do stay here, there's a great breakfast place just 3 minutes away called Clafoutis. It opens at 7am and you want to get there soon after as the lines start about 7:45am. Well worth the walk and wait.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the top floor as the plumbing can be noisy.

If you keep on mind this is a Diamond Time Share "Resort", and more of a condo and not a hotel, you will understand this place better. We have been to a number of Diamond resorts and this one excels in comfort and cleanliness . Beds are very comfortable , shower good, decor attractive and they have large flatscreen TVs. The apartments are not large, and do not have large separate kitchens or huge bathrooms as some do, but they are very recently redecorated and updated attractively and are big enough. Clubhouse is very nice with exercise facility, pool table room, computers, etc.

I would not call it a real resort -- no on site restaurant ( but who wants that in Santa Fe a foodie capital!) and pool is small. But it is all very nicely done and is a very pleasant place to stay in Santa Fe.

Our only complaints are
1) noise from apartment above, most likely chairs scraping on the lovely tile floors in kitchen and dressing areas. Try to get a top third floor room. There are elevators.
2) our biggest complaint was the lack of wifi in spite of the fact that it was advertised as being available in the rooms via Attwifi. It was NOT and front desk said they could not help with that and told us we had to call ATTwifi. We did, everyday, and never got a connection. A good hotel and a good resort these days offers free FUNCTIONING Wifi. You cannot count on it at Diamond Resort Properties.

We were not able to get the beds we wanted but the price helped off set that. We were very comfortable in the unit, which was big enough for the two of us. We over looked the big hot spa and cook out area, and it was no problem.
When I contacted staff about a problem with the air jets on the hot tub, it was addressed and corrected within minutes. Very quick service.
We had excellent rersponse to our questions for eating recommendations and tourtint sights.
Yes, we will try to stay here again.
It would be great to have free WiFi in the rooms.

Room Tip: We had no problem with our 2nd floor room over looking the hot tub in building 2. Well the people cooking the burgers and steaks was a problem, because we were not invited.

The property was very nice and clean. Even though we were given a handicap accessible room it was good. I did not like the low bed though. The location of this property is very central and the free downtown shuttle was great!

The best part of this stay was the location - and that is very important! We could walk to great restaurants, attractions and shopping. !0 minute walk from the Plaza. Cooking facilities were a bit disappointing. Just a two burner electric counter top - no oven. Wi-fi available, but costs extra - I always find that frustrating. If cheaper hotels can provide free wi-fi.... Front desk staff were friendly and helpful, but didn't go too far out of their way to connect with suggestions.

Comfortable bed and living room. Very good for a downtown setting. Not for pool lounging. All said, I would come back.

Room Tip: We stayed on the top floor. No complaints about noise.
