For a completely exceptional holiday experience, book your next stay in Santa Fe at the Four Kachinas B&B. Walt and Wayne, owners, have hit pitch perfect notes when it comes to hospitality. My BFF girlfriend and I drove from Denver to Santa Fe for an overnight (one day is certainly not enough time for a Santa Fe get-away!). However, our stay at the Four Kachinas was outstanding in every aspect. At check-in, Wayne graciously gave us a tour of the property, including the dining area, located just off the main courtyard from our front door. He explained that our key would give us 24-hour access to water, cookies and a leisurely place to lounge outside our room. And what a room! We chose the two bed San MIguel, which was beautifully decorated in the style and colours of Mexico. I appreciated the Mexican art and artifacts that were arranged tastefully in every part of the room and bath area. We both appreciated the large shower and counter space in the bathroom. A big surprise was the incredibly quiet private patio, just outside our room, facing Webber Street. Fantastic ambiance!
The property is wonderfully located walking distance to the Plaza Center. Walt and Wayne were generous with information about where to eat, shop and just be a tourist. The morning breakfast offering was perfect! The Four Kachinas staff make a fabulous variety of breakfast foods, including muffins, fruit, home-made cereals, pinon pine coffee and, on our morning, a sensational breakfast pizza. Oh Yum! Oh delight! Breakfast was relaxing and lovely. Never far from their masters are two of the cutest wiener dogs you ever want to meet!
Overall, our stay was incredible... inviting, quiet, close to town, yummy foods, and a truly comfortable bed. The main courtyard was a visual oasis, with sounds of water, flowers, shade from trees and intensely welcoming. Thank you Wayne and Walt! We can't wait to get back for a longer stay!
