Our stay at Casa Culinaria Don Gaspar was very pleasant. It is located about 3 blocks from the old plaza. Our bed was very comfortable, the shower was hot, very clean and even with an elementary school next door.....very quiet. We slept so well even with the window partially opened. The temperature outside was just perfect for that. We did not need the fireplace or heater or the window unit AC. The food that was prepared for breakfast by Carolina was superb....on the healthy end of the spectrum which we loved! A buffet of greek yogurt and granola, fruit, multiple homemade breads with jams were out each morning. Then a main course was served.....it may not be to everyone's liking but we loved it! Tomato confit and poached egg served on homemade sourdough with a side of arugula and asparagus that was so good! Another morning was thinly sliced prosciutto with cheese wedges, arugula and multiple other finger foods. Another morning there were delicious pancakes like we had not ever had before!
After the main course there was always a small sweet served. A clementine cake, something pumpkin that was similar to pie but a very creative twist to it, and a cherry dessert of some type the last morning.
Carolina is a very talented chef and has devoted her love of the culinary arts to their inn. We chose to eat outdoors each morning even though the sunroom was just as lovely. It was just a wonderful start to each day.

Room Tip: The room we stayed in.....Fountain Casita....had a small kitchen. There was a dorm sized fridge, a...

We will definitely be back... already have another reservation! So, so nice.... and breakfast is not to be missed! Carolina and Manuel are very engaging and have a beautiful property. All three houses have their unique personality but yet, they are all connected and seamless. The breakfasts were probably the best meals we ate while in Santa Fe!

Picture sitting inside or out (your choice) for breakfast with colorful table settings that immediately attract you. Start with a buffet of homemade breads, granola, fruit, yogurt and coffee, tea and juice. After that, an amazingly creative entree is served, followed by a savory breakfast dessert such as peach-pinon crumble or Mexican chocolate paired with vanilla bean pudding. Apparently there are two full weeks of different breakfasts, leaving me with regrets that we only stayed four days.

The room was comfortable and quiet, plenty of towels, nice shower, very private. Easy walk to the plaza, plenty of on-site parking.

Casa Culinaria Don Gaspar was not only delightful--the food was delectable and my husband and I highly recommend it to travelers looking to relax in Santa Fe. The location to downtown Santa Fe and the Plaza is terrific. Each day my husband I strolled in for shopping and cocktails or evening meals.
It is, however, the B & B itself and the lovely hosts Carolina and Manuel who made the trip so enjoyable. The breakfasts, served out doors each morning, with fresh flowers and small table for 2 or 4 were sumptuous but in no way overwhelming. Coffee, tea, and a refreshing hibiscus water were available, and the meals were served in three courses. The first was a serve yourself bar of fresh fruit, yogurt and breads, the second course was an artfully prepared protein, and a light 'dessert' was served at the end. Each meal was a perfect brunch to start the day off with, and often no lunch was necessary because what Carolina and Manuel provided was just the right amount to get us through a day of hiking or exploring.

Our room, a Casita, was spacious, with space to spread out both in and out doors. We also had a kitchen in our suite, so if we didn't feel like heading downtown for a meal, the near by Whole Foods was easy to get to, and we could prepare light snacks, and a full meal when we desired. We also adored the compound's kitty, Caru, short for Caruso. A sweet orange tabby who strolled about patrolling the lovely gardens. If you are looking for a weekend get away or a longer stay in Santa Fe, be sure to put this lovely Casita on your list of places to stay. And next year--they will be offering cooking classes along with their packages--I am certain Carolina will provide wonderful instruction for those with culinary curiosity!

Room Tip: The Courtyard Casita we stayed in was very spacious, and it has a terrific fireplace to get cozy in...

We had a wonderful two night stay at the Olive Room at Casa Culinaria! We loved the location in the quieter side on Don Gaspar Ave. Besides the beautiful garden and the comfortable rooms, we really enjoyed the gourmet breakfasts prepared by Chef Carolina! Everything was delicious and the service was impeccable! Highly recommended for a unique place to stay in Santa Fe.
