Sena Plaza

Now a place to sit, relax and listen to street musicians. One side is lines with many local jewelry and souvenir vendors. Many other shops and restaurant's surrounding it.

One of the Santa Fe inside Plazas that goes back to the 1850's where the Sena Family resided...beautiful 300 year old trees, lovely garden, lots of Holly Hocks blooming in the summer, benches here and there to sit down and relax...there is even "hammock" in which to sit and enjoy a "swing"...La Casa Sena Restaurant and Cantina located in the northeast corner...La Cantina is where the waiters sing the "best of " and other show tunes. Probably one of the most exciting wine restaurants.,.,.rumour has it that they have over 3000 bottles of wine in their cellars....the food is excellent and to be in the Cantina is lots of fun.

There are some interesting shops at Sena Plaza, to be sure, and the place is cloaked in historic character. We really should have paused to explore the place more thoroughly, but we just breezed through after taking our lunch at The Shed. Giving Sena Plaza short shrift is a mistake we’ll be sure to correct on our next visit to Santa Fe.
