Inauspicious from the outside, Jambo delighted in every way. Inside is cozy and homey, the service polite and attentive. We had a feast of African themed food almost all of which was new to us. The prices were very reasonable. Such a surprise!

The food was absolutely excellent. I had tired of typical NM staples, so took a chance on something unfamiliar. I LOVED it. Had the combo plate and a mango/ginger drink.

We ate dinner twice last month with another couple, and each meal was fantastic. Both times, my wife tried the fish special. Last night, it was ruby trout, which is outstanding. I had the salmon salad, a first for me (I, for once, wanted something light). It was to die for. The salmon was perfectly cooked, and, like the trout, this chef makes the most unusual and delicious sauces. No one can complain about the prices for the quality and quantity of the food served. Service was good, and the restaurant (sat night) was packed. Another very enjoyable meal at Jambo. One of the best restaurants in Santa Fe at any price. You can never go wrong with anything on the menu but pay special attention to the specials on the board, we try one whenever we dine here and the offering is always superb.
Update: I had dinner again (May 2024) with the same couple and another amazing meal. The Ono fish special and the Curry Coconut Encrusted Tilapia were outstanding! The Tilapia may now be my new must-have favorite.

Thank you Nafisah for your excellent service. The food was superb. I had the Oxtails. All the sides were tasty and fresh. This was my first time eating here. I will definitely return with other friends again in the near future!

The food was some of the best I have ever had. Very unique flavors. It smells great from the moment you walk in. We had the crab cake appetizer which was amazing. I had the shrimp dish and my husband had the combo dinner all vegetarian. If I lived here, I would eat here at least once a week!
