Pros: Appealing, simple aesthetic shows off the architecture. Good location near the plaza. Both food and service at breakfast were very good, although we were disappointed that they were closed 2 mornings out of 4.
Cons: First room was a decent-sized king room, but we were given a room in a noisy location, overlooking the street, directly over the front door, despite having sent 2 emails, a message through booking.com and making a phone call specifically requesting not to have a noisy room on the street. No attempt was made to resolve the situation, even after repeated requests. Bed sagged and was uncomfortable. We moved to a smaller room after one night to get away from the noise (because we asked again the next day, not because they offered).
Second room was a regular queen room in the back, which was quieter, although very, very small. The mattress was better than the first room. There were no drawers in which to put clothes. We won't stay here again, but if you must stay here, I recommend no more than one night. No comfortable place to sit in either room, just hard wooden chairs.
Be sure you don't get a room on the first floor next to the Tasting Room, as they get the full benefit of the noise from the lobby and bar.
Staff was barely helpful to unhelpful. One of us wasn't feeling well one night and asked if...Pros: Appealing, simple aesthetic shows off the architecture. Good location near the plaza. Staff was barely helpful to unhelpful. One of us wasn't feeling well one night and asked if they could order some soup from the restaurant to bring up to the room. They were told no, because the restaurant was too busy. Another night we asked for a comforter (there was only a blanket on the bed) and we received a twin sized comforter that didn't even cover the entire top of the bed.
Overall, an incredible lack of concern for the comfort or well being of the guests. You can do much, much better in Santa Fe at this price point.More
