Enchant ado resort has been a Four Seasons for 4 months. ThE staff is friendly, accommodating and well trained. The rooms are spacious, well appointed and comfortable. Pillows are too soft. Try to get a top floor room. Upstairs guests sound like they are wearing combat boots if you are downstairs.

Four Seasons took over management of this former dude ranch outside of Santa Fe in June. Staff and guests say things are improving. It really deserves 4.5 stars - not 4 or 5. But there's no option for that here. Some cautions: The resort is an isolated area, several miles from Santa Fe. There's little or nothing to do, or see...but that might be a good thing, if you come here to do nothing but relax. The resort is good for that, I suppose. It's access road features a large, dingy trailer park on one side, and a county dump station on the other. Beware that internet service (free) is very slow, and phone service is dodgy (AT&T's "E"). If you need to stay in touch with the outside world here, these can be irritants. The property itself is southwestern style with adobe casitas (64 of them) arrayed out in a small canyon around a pool, spa and wellness center. There's a restaurant with a large wine room. Sunsets are a highlight most nights. The resort is quiet and dark at night. Good for sky-watching. . Since Four Seasons didn't build it, a number of features are probably not of the caliber this company would usually require. The grounds are supposed to be rustic, but they just looked rather rundown and weed-infested. The property is evolving under Four Seasons management, so look for the most up to date reviews when considering a visit here

Room Tip: Casitas at the rear of the property are the most secluded, and have the best views.

We recently returned from this beautiful resort after being there during their transition from an Auburge property to the Four Seasons Resort. We did encounter some service issues due to the transition, but the management acknowledged each of our concerns, was working to fix those issues and made very satisfactory accommodations for us. We were very impressed with the effort of the management to make things right.

The resort itself was beautiful and the casitas are lovely and well appointed.

Hotel resort very elegant, clean and efficient (except for room service). The restaurant service and food was excellent and very efficient. Truly enjoyed our stay despite our anxiety that the switch to four seasons would have affected its character adversely.

Room Tip: Casitas 1 & 2 are located close to the restaurant and avoid overlooking other rooms. However access by car is near the service entrance which is not very picturesque.

My husband and I recently stayed here for our joint birthday celebration. We are big fans of Auberge properties and had high expectations. Unfortunately, our expectations were only met by the spa and location itself. The service was not what was expected by this level of resort-room service was slow, the restaurant refused to make off menu items (really would not make a cheese and tomato omlette!), and because of the management shift to the Four Seasons all of the Auberge products were removed from the room and cheap non-brand lotions were left in their place (yuck!) We enjoyed the suite and had beautiful views. The beds were very comfortable, but the shower was not great. We will not be back because of the distance, but it is the best place to stay in the area.
