The Studio 6 in Tucson is a good low priced alternative for travelers on a budget. Like all Motel 6 hotels the room is very basic (no iron or hair dryer or shampoo) but includes a small kitchen area and utensils. We had a king bed ( which was a little worn out) a 27 inch tv, wi-fi (for an additional $5 for the week) small table with two chairs and a couch. The price was only $210 for a week so that was the best part.

The pool was actually heated and clean and long enough to swim a few laps for exercise. The ice machine and guest laundry were fine. The room was non-smoking and actually didn't smell like smoke. The grounds were a little messy and the other guests seemed to be a lot of folks working temporarily in the area. The location is right next to I-10 so its convenient but lots of road noise. Tucson is a huge town (like 20 miles across) so it was a pretty good drive to get to any of the Parks on the outskirts of town. There was a place to walk on the side road where the hotel is located. There are 3 huge RV sales and service places right next to the hotel so it'd be a good place to stay while your RV gets worked on.

Place is run down, furniture torn up, rug to tile had duct tape on it. Microwave oven not clean inside. Stayed 4 nights and room cleaned once only, despite putting service request sign in door. Only one hand towel (2 occupants in room) and it was taken away the one day the room was cleaned and not replaced. Nights were very quiet and security was provided, price good.

1a.m. is not the time for childrenof any age to be running around outside, where are their PARENTS !!!!
These children are under the age of 12. I saw a 4-5 YR old and 6-7 YR old
playing outside and this was at 2 am. They were making so much noise I was awakened. YES They have security walking the parking lot at 6 AM. NOT AT 2 THOUGH. Spend the EXTRA MONEY AND GET A GOOD NIGHTS REST.

I found studio 6 on a corporate housing website for Tucson. I assumed it would be habitated by working professionals. The web site listed Studio 6 as 'quiet.' I have a different opinion. Not only were there screaming kids running all over the place, some kid kept riding his skateboard across the segmented concrete walkways. On Friday night, two or more drunks were raising hell in the couryard with no consideration for the other tennants. In general, I felt the staff was courteous (though not all are able to speak English), and the facility was mediocre (ok for the price); if you need to get contiguous sleep, ie if you're working at a night job during you stay in Tucson, you might want to keep looking.
