At what must be their busiest time of year, the Holiday Inn Express at the Grant Rd. exit in Tucson exceeded my expectations.

Each and every staff member that I came across was courteous, friendly, helpful and enjoyable to be around dispite being overworked and tired.

Congratulations to all members of this team. Your true colors came shining thru.

Hotel itself was well maintained, and convenient to the downtown area. Perfect for business travel.

I will be returning next year with my associates.

We stayed there for a week over Christmas and agree with the other reviews. Our first room had so many things rattling and humming (refrigerator, heating) that it was hard to sleep, and the next morning when we found the bathtub drain was clogged, we asked for help. They sent a repairman promptly, but he couldn't fix the problem and so they asked us to move to another room that night when we returned. My son's room was on the side with the bakery warehouse next door, and one night the truck driver was playing music so loudly it kept them awake in the middle of the night. The hotel management said they couldn't do anything about it, and the Tucson police couldn't do anything either, so be sure you ask for a room away from the bakery side!

That said, the hotel is new-ish, clean, well-appointed and comfortable. It's near the interstate and there is a good iHop pancake house right next door that's open 24 hours.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the east side.

The guys in the warehouse behind the property go to work promptly at 5:30 in the morning. I awoke to the sounds of back-up sirens, hydrolic lifts and trucks reving their engines hours before the sun was up. It's a nice and new property with a good staff. The gym consists of a treadmill, eliptical machine and a set of weight cables. Nice running track along a dried river bed adjacent to the property. All in all, its a great place to stay if you plan on getting up early the next morning.

Room Tip: Chose a room on the front side of the hotel during the work week.

Very nice hotel and freeway close, and quiet. About 20 minutes from Old Tucson Movie Studios.

Room Tip: East side is the best. West side if you want to sleep late.

Just completed a 6 night stay at this Holiday Inn Express for business. The hotel is like new and nice. My only complaint was my room was on the pool side of the hotel and since I was there summer months kids were in the pool screaming and playing up until late hours of the night. There is a sign that states the pool closes at 10pm but this is not enforced.
