While looking for places to stay around Estes Park, Colorado, I ran across a special for the Wildwood Inn. They were running a $50 of special during March and April for some of their suites. I called to check out the details and was impressed because the lady running the desk was friendly and very helpful; in fact, my husband thought I was on the phone with one of my close friends. LOL
I booked our room and we were so surprised when we arrived. Our "room" included a living room with a wood fireplace (with a stack of wood and a basket of fatwood starters), a completely furnished kitchen, a good sized bedroom, a nice sized bathroom, and a little patio area with a gas grill! Wow!
The furniture and furnishings made us feel at home. They were not hotel pieces, but actual furniture. The rooms were tastefully decorated and all of the windows had nice blinds on them for privacy.
This suite did not have a hot tub with it, but there is a hot tub room and they allow you to reserve it for a half hour. It has a gas fireplace, an mp3 player, nice towels, and huge windows looking out at the mountains. Wow! Privacy and a gorgeous view.
They also have a very good selection of DVD's that you can select free of charge. We needed to check in for a plane trip and they allowed us to do that in their office and print off our boarding passes...free of charge.
We are planning to make this an annual trip, but next time we will stay several days instead of just overnight. I have told many people about what a great value this is and what a wonderful get away place it is!
