The restaurant is located just before the Fall River entrance to the park and adjacent to the Fall River Visitor Center, northeast of town on Route 34. We entered through the large gift shop and were quickly seated at 11 AM on a Monday in late September. The dining room has a view of a pine and aspen-covered mountain. There is outdoor seating available, weather permitting, on a deck facing the mountain.
The service was prompt and friendly. My husband got the brat sandwich with fries, substituting grilled onions for the sauerkraut. I got the Reuben sandwich on marbled rye bread with fries. Both portions were large and my sandwich had good, lean meat with sauerkraut & 1000 island dressing. My husband had iced tea, which was served in a small glass for $3, but it was refilled often. Total bill was $27.97 which we thought was reasonable for the quality of the meal, the size of the portions and the location.

Good food but you come here for the view. Excellent lunch spot, with outside dining and a view of the mountains. This was our first stop after our flight from Houston and worth the drive.

Against my better judgement we are here and the only good thing was the bottled beer and the view.We stopped in after exiting RMNP to use the restroom. My husband saw they had trout on the menu and he wanted to eat there. His trout was just ok, my Buffalo burger wasn't very good but my son's fish and chips was downright disgusting. It wasn't cooked all the way through and tasted horrible. It was a waste of $65.00.

This restaurant has great food even for vegetarians. The view from inside or out on the outside deck is outstanding. The young European student waiters are both interesting and helpful.

Have been here many times over the years while visiting RMNP. Love the view of Dear mountain as you dine on the outside deck or thru the windows on a cold or rainy day. Food is delicious - service friendly and quick. The choice of some dishes with elk, sheep, or bison blends with the national park venue. Give it a try you will enjoy it.
