My wife and I decided to spend some time in Estes Park, enjoying the fall weather and the elk rut in RMNP. In a stroke of luck we were able to book a room at the Haber Motel. Family-run with only 6 rooms, it’s tucked in behind the Egg And I and couldn’t be more cozy considering it’s so centrally located. The rooms are spotlessly clean with all the amenities plus a gas fireplace and jacuzzi tub/shower. R.J. Haber is the office mgr and super accommodating; gave us hints and directions to all the places we wanted to visit, told us to call him for anything we might need, and advised us to call him directly in the future and pay cash to avoid booking and cc fees in order to save 15%!
In the morning, a 75’ walk to the Egg And I provided us with the best breakfasts we’d enjoyed in quite a while.
Elk were congregating a few blocks away, all sorts of fascinating shops were across the street, and the park entrance was about two miles away.
We can’t recommend the Haber enough; didn’t need to be “on the river” or stay in a “rustic” or “historic” out of the way area. This was perfect.More
