Seasoned travelers know that airport hotels usually aren't very good. You're captive, they know it, and the service quality reflects that. But I was very pleasantly surprised by my recent stay at the Sheraton Albuquerque Airport.
+Easy walk over from the terminal
+Great staff treat you well - some have been there 25 years
+Decent food and a nice bar/lounge
+Hotel and rooms have been updated to modern Sheraton layout (i.e. - the rooms have been totally re-done and hotel doesn't show it's age)
+They'll shuttle you to/from close places
I have no negatives to post. The closest I can get is that the tub is old and shows its age a bit, but they've done everything they can to modernize everything else in the bathroom. It's the only way I saw that you'd know this building is at least 30 years old.
For my overnight local business trip, I thought the price was great, and the stay quality was very high, especially for an on-airport property. I'll stay here again when I need to call on that customer again.More
