Howard Johnson Albuquerque Midtown

This was an average low cost hotel. That being said the staff were very accommodating in making sure all problems were fixed as they happened. Yes, the sliding door wouldn't latch and needs to be replaced but the weather was beautiful and didn't become a problem till the sand storm blew into town. They fixed it as best as they could and we dealt with it. I had no real complaints. The room was clean, bathroom failry new and price was fair.

Very friendly staff and helpful with tips, shuttle service, etc.

Room Tip: Room 514 had the broken slider.

the photo is misleading - in reality "Plaza Inn" is misleading as well - there is no "plaza" and it's not an "inn"

it's really a hotel - borders on a motel - there is not much of a lobby and the restaurant breakfast fare was below average vs most hotels even the less expensive ones
the rooms did not block sound from the adjoining rooms or hallway.

the staff were the highlight - they were friendly

while the location overall is good - the actual location has some quirks to arrive and to get quickly on on the highway

the shuttle was a plus and one reason for choosing it - however the shuttle was off service at times - which worked ok since reimbursed for the taxi

the first day the shower water was warm but not hot - better the next day

even though the room was non smoking - it had a smoke like odor to it

would never stay here again

Te staff and the manager were extremely customer focused. They did all they could to make us feel welcome. The food for a special event was very good and the service at the event was great.
The hotal does need a bit of sprucing up.

Personally would not stay there again. Old hotel, lumpy bed, broken hair dryer, clogged up toilet, no treadmill in the fitness room, only bicycle. However, depending on your budget situation you might be ok with this hotel. It could be that it was just the room we were in, because other than the things I listed, the guy at the front desk had good customer service skills and the complimentary breakfast was great!

I spent 3 weeks at this hotel for my brother was at Presbyterian hospital near by. The great thing is they had a shuttle which was a plus since I did n ot drive . There shuttle drivers were a god sent for me and my sister kudos to David and Josh and Mike the Gm for driving us around. The lobby staff was always plesant to us.I enjoy the pool and the tempertaure was always comforable to me. The only problem I had was with the frig keeping thing to cold or freezing them, the knob to turn it down was broken on our frig but this was no big deal for us. Thank s for making our long stay most pleasureable. I would recommend this hotel to others who were going to visit the area. We enjoy the restuant for breakfast it was a great asset.
