Mick's has moved just up the road to 3351 Candelaria, Ste. A (the former Milton's site). The space is much larger and rather indescript. However, the menu and prices are the same. Service has always been a strong point and the move didn't make any difference. You will be treated as family. There are daily specials both on a white board and others that are permanent depending on the day of the week. My husband's breakfast burrito with ham was huge: crammed full with eggs, chees, potatoes and ham. It was gigantic and it was the smaller one. My huevos rancheros came with rice, potatoes, refritos and was smothered with green and red chile. It was very good but could have been hotter (temperature). Today, the green was more flavorful but the red still held its own. The servers helped each other out so there was never a wait for refills or filling requests. So, we're happy with the new location but miss the funkiness of the old. Let's hope they do well. It was crowded at mid morning.

Looking for a great breakfast or lunch? Entries and drink for less than $10, large favorable portions, fast service? Look no further than Mick's. The restaurant isn't painted brightly or has a big sign out front. Just look for all the construction pickups parked out front and pull in. You will be happy.

I love that there are small business that still put there heart into running a successful small business. Great food, friendly service and low prices. Love their simple two egg, bacon breakfast. I will return over and over.

We hadn't been back to Mick's for a couple of years and found nothing changed. The building still has no sign on Candelaria, the floor tiles are still chipped, the walls need paint, but, the food and service is still excellent. We were warmly greeted by one of the three friendly wait persons. Mick's has daily specials which are regular menu items at a reduced price. Their regular prices are very inexpensive so it's an extra special deal.
My huevos rancheros was perfect. It's served with what appeared to be homemade hash browns, refried beans, and rice. I had Christmas and the green was New Mexico hot - great! Although milder, the red was very tasty. My husband's burrito with ham was gigantic - and it was the small one! It was stuffed with hash browns, eggs, and ham.
The coffee was excellent. The folks who work here are just the best. It feels like you're eating in their home as they take pride in the food and what they do. Prices are cheap. We've never seen tourists here but business is good just with us locals. If excellent food is your main goal and a bit of rustic doesn't bother you, give Mick's a try.
