This little gem is hidden away in a residential area in the northwest part of town. We recently stayed there because of its proximity to Cottonwood Mall where we were going to see the Met Opera simulcast. Although it is not easy to find because it is about half a block off the street, down a gravel road and behind a gate, the chickens and guineas were there to meet us. We stayed in the smaller of the two rooms in the guest house and found it everything we needed. We had a small kitchenette, a nice kiva fireplace and cozy linens and pillows. Breakfast was delivered to our room the next morning. Bacon, eggs, muffins, toast, and potatoes were hot and the fresh fruit was chilled. Sterling flatware, hand painted Italian plates mixed with the odd serving dish added to the homey ambience. Even in the midst of winter, there were pots of pansies on the portal. I can only imagine how interesting the grounds will be in the summer.
