“Great Bed & Breakfast in Albuquerque”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 March 2012

Just retuned from a multi-city adventure in New Mexico and our last stop was Albuquerque. Staying at the Downtown Historic Bed & Breakfast of Albuquerque was a delightful treat. Each room has special decor with very comfortable beds. The owner gives each visitor a personal touch and a delicious southwestern homemade breakfast. Our friends and I stayed in the Spy House which is the site of a real spy adventure from 1945. We highly recommend this B & B. Don't miss it.

Steve, Kara, and their family made us feel at home. The inn is super cozy. Our room was much larger than we expected (the Rosenberg had a King bed, small study, huge walk-in closet, and bathroom with 2 sinks). The breakfast was excellent each morning....with a little New Mexico flavor (green chiles) some mornings. Cookies, fruit, and water/soda were always available. Steve and Kara were helpful in providing recommendations (where's the REI?) and sharing the local restaurants (all more than we expected). It was a wonderful base to explore New Mexico, including the Sandia mountains that rise from the edge of town.

We just returned from New Mexico and a highlight of our trip was our stay in the Downtown Historic Bed and Breakfasts of Albuquerque. The warm hospitality, close proximity to downtown Albuquerque, delicious breakfast with regional flare, and inspired decor were perfect! The historical significance of the B & B was fascinating and a bonus! We definitely encourage visitors to add this special B&B to their "must" list when visiting Albuquerque.

Steve and Kara provide all the best for a stay in a foreign or familiar town--near center of downtown Albuquerque, with all the amenities, AND quiet with great food and company.

Room Tip: On line descriptions and pictures are spot on, and very helpful. if unsure, give them a call.

This is our second year returning to one of our most favorite B & B's. Not only are the accommodations superb, but the food is a culinary delight. However, even more than that (as if that wasn't enough), it is Steve and Kara themselves that make us feel like we've come home to visit family. They are welcoming and attentive and are wonderful people. This is a very sweet place, making our stay in Albuquerque always memorable. -- Terry and Rose
