The hotel and restaurant were fine, nothing special. It is very conveniently located in Salt Lake City and the staff was very nice and helpful. We had breakfast at Bambara and it wasn't that great. It has very fancy service but mediocre food. Avoid room service, it was inedible.

I can’t wait to stay here again, rooms were clean and spacious. Front desk was extremely helpful and friendly. Location was perfect as well. The cocktail hour with appetizers was a nice touch. Highly recommend!

I had read the reviews so I was somewhat prepared. It seems as though management could also read reviews and address some of the consistent issues. You can hear the pipes and when other guests are taking showers. It’s an older hotel that has not been upgraded. I get that. But decor can easily be updated. If it had. It been for the outstanding restaurant I would have moved to a different hotel. Staff is inconsistent. Some were very professional. Others were not good with details. I had asked twice for hypoallergenic pillows. Never got them. I had also asked for someone to check on a noisy AC unit and provided the times when I would be out of my room. Those times were never communicated to the engineers. I do hope they can invest in upgrading this hotel! Like I said, great restaurant and excellent location.

Hotel with character - pleasant change from the typical city hotel. Small room but pleasant. Went to the afternoon wine & hors d'oeuvres hour in a pleasant setting. I had to be a member to get free WiFi. I have no car but free bicycles are available.

I recently helped host a small conference with the support of a large medical device manufacturing company with doctors from across the country and Europe. We had around 40 people who stayed at the hotel and had a full day of lecture, followed by a large group dinner in a private room in Bombara (see separate review) which on its own is one of Salt Lake City's best restaurants.

The Monaco is a chic, intimate and trendy boutique hotel in the heart of downtown Salt Lake. The rooms are quaint, well-appointed (yoga mat in every room) and lack the "cookie-cutter" feel of most large hotels. Parking is tight in downtown SLC, but very easy when using their valet service (recommended) which is very reasonably priced.

This was the perfect size spot for our conference, and the side services such as AV and mid-morning and mid-day snacks were outstanding. You won't be disappointed whether your stay is for business or pleasure, this is a great hotel.

Room tip: Ask for a corner room with a view.
