The motor camp provides double rooms in a former Nasella Tussock workers accommodation. Rooms are comfortable, there are male and female ablutions, a large kitchen, dining room and TV room. Set on the edge of peaceful Waiau and only 150m walk to store, shops and bar. Lots of space for camp sites and playing area for children.

Room tip: All rooms are quiet

Starting with the summary, this place is awesome, beautiful and relaxing. It has everything you need. The shops in town provide everything for your daily needs.
If you are looking for a place to have some days holiday while traveling, this is the place to be. The owners are very friendly and they take care and maintain the facilities very good. It is always clean and the slightly older facitilities are in a very good shape! The showers are free, we had plenty of hot water and there was a real shower, not only a ripple!!!
The sites have a fair size and there is a playground for the kids. If this isn‘t enough, the two rivers provide a perfect place to relax and an additional place to play for the kids. Just look for a shallow place without current and a bit of mud and parents will have a nice time

This is a great little caravan park. Clean facilities and the kitchen is well stocked with crockery and cutlery. 2 full cookers means you can bake a cake while you're there.
The ladies showers are very clean and refurbished.
Free wifi too which is a bonus.
Friendly owners. Nice flat areas for camping or setting up your caravan.
If you're heading this way it's a good place to break your journey.

Very clean and tidy camp ground obviously looked after by the friendly owners. We stayed in a wee cabin which was perfect for what we needed for our stop over. Would definitely come back with a tent and stay longer next time.

This is one of those hidden gems.
The buildings are converted grubbers accomodation which added real character.
Our room (room 9) was a family room & exactly as we had expected from previous reviews so we certainly were not disappointed.
The kitchen, dining & social rooms were a good size with free wifi access through the site.
It is clean, with plenty of room for cabin dwellers & motor homes / caravans.
The town is walking distance; it is small but has everything you need.
I would definitely recommend this location to anyone thinking about staying here.
Next time we're in this area, it would certainly be on our accomodation list.
