We’ve been here before for ice cream and coffee and it’s always been fantastic, but I’ve lamented that there were no savour options given it’s such a nice spot, with charming courtyard and tables by the vines.
I’ve always thought it weird that NZ has few vineyard restaurants that provide informal lunches - Aussie does this very well. We’ve got great places, but they mostly strive (and often fail) to offer fine dining experiences. My kids want pizza and ice cream and we prefer sandwiches or salad or someone (who are we kidding - we want pizza too!).
Anyway, long story short we’ve found it at last - fantastic, simple and unfussy, fast wood-fired pizza in the perfect session. You won’t be disappointed. And the ice cream is still fabulous....
