The property is very pretty. You will notice lots of plants, creative furnishing and a big pool. The bungalows are very clean and the staff (most of them are volunteers) is very polite. The breakfast is delicious and the beach is right in front of you.

I had such a pleasant stay in hostel Viejamar. It’s the type of place you arrive and extend a week then another week.
The vibe is relaxed and the beach out the front is super pretty.
If you love to surf there is always a wave for you no matter what your level.
Plenty of waves nearby rod will take you too if they are working.
The rooms were clean and so is the hostel in general. I highly recommend this place for a quite relaxed surf stay

I really liked my stay at this hostel, the location is great - right at the beach with a nice setup (pool, terrace, chill out areas, kitchen, bonfire area)
there are 3 private cabins and two dorm cabins (4 beds and 8 beds)
the hostel is really cute and relaxing, you can just hang out and have a great time
everyone was super nice and friendly
would definitely stay there again

I came to Viejamar planning to stay as long as I would like it there, which turned out to be 2 weeks(!), spending Christmas and Newyears with the amazing volunteers and other guests. Beautiful location right on the beach, pool, good kitchen, bonfires, nice waves and superfriendly locals.

This place is amazing, it‘s just incredibly beautiful, volunteers and the manager are so real and nice. Rooms are cleaned and beds made everyday, can‘t expect more from a hostel. Perfect to take a break from everything, I loved it.
