My husband and I stayed here at the end of our honeymoon to treat ourselves before going home and we had a great time. We were upgraded to a gorgeous suite with a living room, dining room, enormous bathroom and separate smaller half bath, and 2 lanai. i was worried from what other people said that the bathroom would be old and gross but it looked like it had just recently been re-done. The waterslides were so much fun and the beach in front of the hotel is great. We had a very yummy brunch in the hotel ballroom. If you can find a good deal like we did at 1800hotels.com I would totally recommend staying here for its loveliness and lusury.

Excellent resort and sleep quality was the best I have ever had, Very expensive but you get what you pay for. Food quality and variety not as good as we had expected

We stayed here on our honeymoon 13 years ago. We loved it then and we loved coming back. The renovation that was done was awesome. The lobby area is stunning. Our room was beautiful and spacious. The only complaint I had about our room is that there was no Fridge. We had to pay a one time $25 fee. We stayed at Hiltons on two other islands and a fridge was included in the price. Those were lower tier hotels. This is a family resort and that should just be part of the room. The housekeeping staff kept our room immaculate. We used the self parking. It was never more than a ten min walk from our room and saved us the $20 a day for the valet. The pool and beach area was amazing. Everything was so clean. My only beef is that this is a very expensive resort. For the prices people pay you should have to fight for a beach chair. I knew getting a beach chair would be a problem so we would do excursions in the morning and then go to the pool in the afternoon when many people were leaving. It worked out well for us. The food is expensive. We got the fridge and did some shopping at the grocery store. If you like Italian food, head over to Matteo's across from the shops at Wailea. The food was amazing and reasonably priced. Otherwise we went down S. Kihie road and there were great places to eat that were reasonable. Ask the conceirge for tips. they had some great places. They were really great. they spent a ton of time with you and never rushed you. The front desk staff was really nice and always had a smile for us. We had a problem with our bill and it was cleared up in five min, no muss no fuss. All in all we like this hotel. We always enjoy the Wailea area. But Wailea is an expensive area so be advised. We loved our room and the grounds were amazing. We were there for easter and they dyed the water in the waterfall purple. Our kids thought it was awesome! Little touches but they make nice memories. Would come back again!

I had relatives attending the Sunday Brunch. I was able in advance to treat them to the affair even though I was not there. They had an excellent table on the lanai and enjoyed a great brunch that was not only billed to my credit card, but I received a personal email with detailed charges. Very professional service.

Perfect place for a family. With a slide, rope, and a few pools this is a great kid friendly vacation. We went for a couples vacation and enjoyed the breakfast buffet, rooms and beach although the breakfast buffet was the only place (other than a little shop) that you could enjoy a sit down breakfast and closed at 10:30 every morning. Also, there's very little options within the hotel if you want lunch and dinner as well (the fancy dinner option was closed the whole time for private parties).

There is a nice little shopping center within a 5 minute walking distance with a great little Cheeseburger place, shops, galleries (a great "celebrity" art gallery, ruths Chris steak house and sushi joint. Nice beach with activity optioons. Watch The lunch place at the pool, as its extremely expensive and the food both times was horrible (turkey burger was questionably putty-like and the "large" salad was tiny and mushy.

Found out after the fact that Maui has an amazing little market on the beach on Sundays, so ask about that if you're there on a Sunday:). All-in-all, Maui is absolutely breath taking, the grand wailea was a little too large (you literally need a map) but greets for family vacation and alright for a couples stay. Service was delightful. Bed extraordinarally comfortable, very clean room. Ask for Ocean view room. Worth it. While we wewre there Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston were filming a movie at Grand Wailea and staying at the four seasons.
