My wife and I had our honeymoon here and absolutely loved it!

The slides on this property, although designed for kids, were wonderful! We spent many hours in the pools, slides, and lazy river. If you don't like waterparks, this may not be the spot for you. If you do, stay here!

Yes, it's expensive. If you can't afford it don't try to. The rooms are expensive and everything else is as well. It is well worth it if this hotel is up your alley.

The breakfast buffet is wondeful! You eat on a balcony overlooking the coast in the most gorgeous setting. You will even see birds hanging out on the trees mere feet away from you.

The property as a whole is nice. It is a little bit worn, and could probably use some renovations. Not quite what you would expect for $700/night. However, the room was always clean, bathrooms were huge, and hotel staff was very polite.

The beach is great. I have heard some other beaches in Hawaii are not nearly as nice. If you like to snorkel there are reefs right off their beach which are great. You can also take some snorkeling expeditions which depart right down the road.

We stayed at the grand wailea in April with our two children aged 7 and 4. It is perfect for families, the pools, slides, beach are amazing. We were upgraded upon arrival, I cannot even begin up describe the room, it was just beautiful. The view was over the pool area and beach. We never wanted to leave, will definately return.

We spent 5 days at the Grand Wailea on Maui at the end of April to celebrate our 25th anniversary. We had spent 4 days at the Hilton Waikola Village on the Big Island. The Grand Wailea wins hands down. From the moment we stepped out of our car to the warm welcome by the older Hawaian woman with the leis. She explained the leis- male and female and she even walked us to the lobby. Everyone was helpful. We received a room with a view of the tropical garden and a slight view of the ocean. The room we were initially going to get was a view of the parking lot. We didnt have to ask for an upgrade. Not only did we received a complimentary bottle of champaigne, our waiter thew in a monogramed desert for our anniversary. The dinner at the Humuhumu... The fish was some of the best we've ever had. No wonder the chef was on the Iron Chef. The bathroom was amazing! Wake up call - real person to greet you. Although the $30 valet charge in addition to the resort fee was steep, the cold bottled water we found in the car each time soothed the Sting. This was a great time of the year to go. The resort was not crowded, not so many kids. Only bit of advise - if youve got issues with walking ask for a room near the elevator and a short trip to the main valet or the other valet parking area. We'd go back on a hearbeat!

Clearly the best vacation ever! This hotel/resort should be a 5 start property! The service that we recieved was perfect at every corner. Every staff member was so friendly and willing to help with anything we needed. The deluxe ocean view room has the most amazing views of the beach, ocean and the Maui sunsets! The rooms are very nicely appointed, very clean, & well maintained. The pools are great, and especially the water slides and water elevator. The staff working at the pool was great too! The beach was absolutely beautiful, there was always plenty of chairs and room to spread out. A great system for chairs, towels and wrist bands is in place as well. We also dined at the Humu Humu restaurant at the Grand Wailea....the food presentation, food quality and service totally exceeded my expecations as it was an awesome dining experience! A true Hawaiian vacation....we will be back without question!

Our family had an amazing vacation at the Grand Wailea recently.

Our vacation was so wonderful and every element just perfect. The GW staff was always thoughtful and amazingly gracious, our Conceirge Services over the top (what fabulous business partners you have and Linda is fantastic!) and our beautiful rooms overlooking the Chapel made every moment special and memorable. The Grand Dining room breakfasts were over the top in quality and service, the Concierge food service couldn't have been nicer and we really never found a need to leave the resort except for zip lining and seeing local friends!

Most importantly, we are relatively discerning travelers and both Desmond and I own professional services businesses, so customer satisfaction and "delight" are at the top of our lists, always! Sometimes that's a blessing and sometimes "not"! I must say, that since our last visit to the Grand Wailea five years ago, there is a marked difference in overall quality, friendliness, service and hotel appearance. Really, the property was so impressive. We can't wait to return and have participated in your loyalty member program until recently.

I'm not sure how you and our fabulous travel agent, Anne Tippin, The Travel Agency, made the wonderful upgrade to the Napua Tower happen, but WOW, we loved it and so appreciated the special treatment.

We promise to come back next year, same time - in between ski racing ending and baseball/horse arrival to Tahoe, regardless of our Spring break!

Again, thank you so much and please extend our very best thanks and appreciation to your staff as well.

All the best and most sincerely,
Alison, Desmond, Andrew and Angela Elder
