Great room and great value for the money. We enjoyed breakfast and the house tour!
the room was great and it is in part of the old heritage area of the city. Great hospitality.....Even shared some recipes with the owner!!

Having traveled extensively throughout our great country, and having stayed in many five star hotels and many wonderful bed and breakfast, I can honestly state that not only where the accomodations inviting and well maintain, but Mrs. Feltus truely gave us an experience of days long past, allowing us to experience the graciousness and charm of the Old South. The charm of Linden is something that I plan on returning to many more times in the future.
As a Interior Designer for more than thirty three years I found Linden beautifully restored to a true state of simple, yet inviting yet inviting elegance . We were pleased with our beautiful and historically accurate room, The King Room, and was always greeted in the morning with not only excellant coffee, but a delightlful southern breakfast severed in the magnificent dining room of Linden surrounded by the wonderful family antiques and great conversation with the guest. I hardily reccomend to all who want a wonderful true tast of the South.

I went on a short vacation with my mother and sisters to Natchez for the Fall Pilgrimage. We stayed two nights at the Linden B&B. We stayed in Dick's and King's room which open into each other--this was nice so we could all visit with each other while in our rooms. Dick's room has a little ante-room which was a nice bonus feature. We had oodles of space. We enjoyed hanging out on the back porch in the evening and talking while we sat in the rocking chairs but if you do--use the Off spray that Mrs. Feltus provides. Mississippi mosquitoes are hungry! As far as amenities, there is a TV in the rooms that I believe had cable but we weren't there for TV. Breakfast was very good and filling but you should plan to arrive on time or your food might get cold--it's served at a set time not in a range of time like many B&Bs do. We weren't fond of the coffee, but that's a personal preference. (We got tea instead) The hostess is a lovely Southern lady--polite, funny, helpful, but direct when she needs to be. Make sure you get the tour of the house during your stay.
The only negative is that the King's room is used for storage and apparently has moth balls in the locked closets. There was definitely an odor of moth balls in that room. If moth balls bother you, consider one of the other rooms.

I loved my stay at Linden! I took my Mother for a mother/daughter get away. We stayed in the King room. It was very large and clean. Mrs Feltus was very nice. Oh and the house is haunted. My Mother has a recording of a man's voice. Very spooky!! I would definetly go back. The house is absolutely gorgeous as are the grounds. The breakfast could be a little better but the service was wonderful.

Having read the other reviews on Tripadvisor I was a bit apprehensive about our stay at Linden. My concern was without cause. Our stay was wonderful. We found Mrs. Feltus and her staff to be attentive and courteous in every way. Our room was clean and furnished with period antiques. As others have noted, the bathroom was small, but what would you prefer in a 200+ year old house that originally did not have baths in each room? For myself, I would prefer that they put the bath in a closet, vs ripping out part of the room itself. Linden is an authentic slice of the old south. Other reviewers have commented on Mrs Feltus having a bit of an "attitude." We did not find this to be the case. However, she is a southern lady in every sense of the word and anyone who does not think a southern lady can "straighten you out" if you get out of line has never met one! Breakfast was hot and delicious. Mrs. Feltus recommended restaurants, attractions, and went out of their way to provide directions to a foreign couple who were visiting at the same time. Having traveled extensively I have observed that a lot of people have unrealistic expectations when staying in a b&b. They expect it to be like a hotel and their every whim to be catered to, and true, many B&B's have been stripped of their history and are little more than fancy hotels. At Linden you are a guest in the home of a lovely lady and are treated like part of the family. If you want room service and manicures stay somewhere else, but if you want to experience southern graciousness try Linden. You'll feel like home.
