“very relaxing stay”

Ferryman's Cottage is a beautifully situated property with a little patio which borders straigt on to the river Wye. It offers total seclusion and yet it is perfectly safe as it is in the grounds of the owners property. The views from the patio over the wide river and the fields across are superb. Bird watchers may find this cottage particularly interesting. The cottage offers a very comfortable accommodation. As a solo traveller I find everything I need in the cottage and I am indefinitely booked for a particular week each year. The owners are very helpful and friendly and each time I get tottally relaxed. It is one of those accommodations that one can enjoy in all weathers. Hay on Wye is a wonderful little town few miles away, world wide famous for it's literature festival and a large number of second hand bookshops claimed to be the largest number per capita in the world. I have found it to be an eccentric place with wonderful locals.

Liked best: The views across the river and the helpful owners
Liked least: I have not asked but presumed that there is no wi-fi in the cottage. If this is the case it would be nice to have it.
