East of Ashford towards Mt. Rainier NP, then off the highway maybe 1/4 mile. Shares the property with the owners' home but faces away from it. The grounds are mostly natural with some landscaping areas. A small gurgling creek is up a short (75 feet?) path over a small log and past a few stinging nettles (no problem for us but don't touch!) to a shady glen with a nice bench. We enjoyed a visiting deer one morning and many butterflies.
The cabin is fair-sized with a large kitchen (no microwave) and private bath (shower not tub). It was sparkling clean. The queen bed was so-so. The futon/couch and rocking chair were marginally comfy, and the only other seating was a folding chair. We enjoyed sitting on the porch in the rocking chair and folding chair. There is no AC, but we were able to be somewhat comfy in the warm weather by opening the three screened windows, putting the fan in one, and opening the front and back doors for awhile (fortunately mosquitoes weren't a problem during our visit).
Be aware that lodging in the Ashford area runs expensive, and that at most of the other choices you'll be experiencing much less solitude than at Wilderness Edge Cabin. Reservations will be necessary during the peak season, whether here or elsewhere in the area.
The Wifi worked fine, and we had no cell service.
This is not a luxurious lodging, but if your expectations aren't too high, you can have a sweet time at Wilderness Edge Cabin!
Very clean. Perfect for travelers who like a quiet stay. Friendly host. Just a few miles from the entrance of Mount Rainier National Park, so a perfect location. Enough restaurants in the surroundings. The cabin is so cute and cosy, we loved it!
As a couple---we found this to be a cozy cabin--near the entrance of Mt. Rainer. Our host Beth was accomodating and helpful...
If you are going to Mt. Rainer and you want the perfect getaway----this is the place for you!
We recoomend the cabin highly!

The cabin was exactly as described. Very nice and relaxing. Worked great for us. We would visit again next time we are in the area.
This is a sweet little cabin just outside the park (about 4 miles),so it takes just minutes to get in the park. It has a well supplied kitchen, a nice bed and a futon. A cozy propane stove takes any chill out of the room. It is on the same property as the owners house, but the family was very quiet.
It is just off the highway, but we could not hear any road noise. There is a little creek running out back (well it would have been running if it weren't summer) My daughter and I explored the creek for a bit and declared it -fun, fun-
Pros- no cell/internet access so you can BE with your family. (If you really need o be 'plugged-In - there are restaurants in Ashford just down the road.
Cons ........... can't think of any!
We would stay there again in a heartbeat.
