We were worried when we checked in. The "triple" room barely had room for three beds. The owner/manager didn't call it a triple and didn't think it was big enough for the three of us so she gave us another room for a small additional fee (she said she had problems with Booking.com).

The rooms are small and modest, but everything is new and very clean. The restaurant is excellent. Full board included 3 large meals. There is no indoor lobby seating--except for the restaurant--but they have nice sidewalk seating. The manager is the sweetest person. It is like staying with family. This was a great deal, too, with the full board included.

The hotel seems to have about 25 rooms. The wireless worked well. They do not speak much English.

Tio Pepe is a good standard for the price. The hotel is over the owners restaurant and in the centre of the modern town, you can walk to all attractions in Peniscola from here. Because it is in the centre of town there can be lots of people around and Peniscola is lively! Breakfast is simple but enough and there are many places to eat from 20 to 200 metres away.We found it a good base to explore the Ebro delta and Castellon within a reasonable drive. The rooms are clean, tidy and well furnished for the standard of hotel.

Room tip: Quieter rooms at back

The hotel is located on a main thoroughfare but very efficient glazing kept all noise out. Our room was not huge but with two single beds it probably felt smaller than if it had been a double.
Parking is available on the road outside but may well be a problem when the town gets busy.
The hotel has a bar and restaurant, which would appear to be a T.A, favourite although we didn't eat there.
Breakfast was a fairly standard affair, but sufficient in hot coffee and freshly squeezed orange juice. It was included in the bargain price of 45€!
The staff are pleasant but don't speak much English. The are numerous bars and restaurants in the immediate vicinity of the hotel.

Nothing fancy but in a handy location and very nice for the money. Staff is very helpful although some didn't speak english. Breakfast nothing special but was included. The beachfront hotels are across the street from the beach anyway so why pay extra for them?

They were able to arrange a safe private enclosed parking location. The hotel itself doesn't have parking.

Hotel was booked through booking.com. I notice I reservation was hand written in a book upon arrival. They are not computerized so bring a copy of your booking.

Great little hotel in Peniscola. Nice location close to the beach, very friendly people. Rooms small but very clean and cozy. Nice and comfortable bathroom. Breakfast was very good with great orange juice and perfect coffee. In the afternoon restaurant was full, but there are many nice looking restaurants around so we choose to go to another place. You can park a car just on the street in front of the hotel, but you have to pay for it during the day. In the night is for free.

Room tip: street is quite loud so probably higher floor is better
