We really enjoyed our trip. We stayed on Los Naranjos 5 in Simon and Janes apartment. (Casa Jane) It was beautiful with every facility you could ask for.
The people in the area were really friendly and with just short trips off the complex there is lots to do.

Booked an apartment via Novasol-our first mistake! Make sure you realise that on top of the apartment cost you are charged 6EU a day for electricity and appx 50eu for cleaning at the end of your stay. Even if like us you leave the apartment spotless its charged and you dont get towel or bed linen changes.

We had a 2 bed first floor apartment J1124-which was satisfactory with all you will need for a basic stay and included wifi and tv. The resort comprises a massive development with 1000s of units on a sprawling site with numerous swimming pools, there is a golf course, sports facilities and bar and Central area which houses a supermarket, management office, sales agents for units and about 7 bars/restarants.

Handover of key from the owner was ok, however when problems arose he was useless and unhelpful.
Problems-well there are clearly ongoing issues with sewerage and water supply on the development and numerous holes appeared during our stay to add to those already there. Workmen regularly had to dig up roads and pavements and then they were left for days fenced around. Water supply was affected for 3 days out of our 13, with no water at all until appx 5.30pm in our apartment J1124 and on one occasion the gurgling and stink of sewage from the bathroom was disgusting. The owner advised we buy in water, fill baths and pots and use a watering can with water in to flush the toilet!!. Very nice and hygenic when we payed a lot of money for the apartment.

There are apartment owners or guests with dogs on site and whilst most are, we are sure responsible, one dog defacated on the steps to our apartment and there it stayed for 5 days, until we kicked it out of the way.
There are regular security patrols and grounds staff doing gardening works to keep the place tidy, but clearly they would not tackle the dog excrament.

This time of the year (November) the resort is relatively quiet and unoccupied and from talking to people including residents and workers units that are clearly unoccupied are being broken into and thefts occuring.

The central area does house many good bars and restaurants which cater well for all tastes.

The final straw for us was when the owner came to collect the key on our check out. Whilst he apologised for the lack of water on 3 days in the unit, he advised that we were the last paying rental in J1124 for the season and a family member was due to be coming over to stay in it for a while, however due to the water supply problems he had arranged alternative accomodation off site for them!!!. Oh but it was fine for us paying customers to have to put up with it with no offer of a refund or even a couple of euroes compensation.

Room tip: Ensure water suplly and sewarage issues are sorted-avoid unit j1124

Here for a week, the apartment is stunning overlooking the golf course, suns out, all the local bars/restaurants have served good food and been friendly. Lots of help from Miltary Breaks who oversee the apartments for owners, especially the lady who collected us from the airport. So far for me personally the only draw back is not having a car which means staying on site or spending a fortune on taxis ( 60 euros each way airport and 30 euros each way to nearest beach). Would definitely come again as so peaceful but would book a car to collect from airport.

The apartments location is ideal. Close enough to the pool but far enough away not to hear noise from it. Not far from the 'walk through' to allocated car parking space. Next to tennis courts and condado club.
The apartment is very well equipped. Clean and has everything you need including Aircon! Really can't fault it.
Sun terrace is lovely but too hot to use till the sun goes down I would say!

Great resort, especially for families and older couples. Very safe gated resort that can only be entered through security. Very large complex with houses and apartments. Each block have their own pool and all the public areas are well maintained and kept very clean. Good family entertainment at Al Kazar which has a supermarket, bars and a great selection of restaurants, as well as loads of kids activities including bouncy castles, trampolines, pool tables etc. There is also tennis courts and play grounds but a bit too hot in the summer to use these.
The resort is remote so you would definitely need a car. Would recommend a visit to Mazzaron - lovely port with shops, bars and restaurants. Lots of lovely Spanish restaurants to visit that aren't spoiled by tourism.
