lets begin with the service..great!!! The service desk clerk was very helpful, remember that I had called ahead to notify them that I would be checking in late. They were very professional and polite.2ndly the room was nice and the view, clean and no mildew odor. The beds were VERY comfortable. 4th All amenities were available and operational (safe). What we enjoy the best: fitness room equipment, in/outdoor pool, hot tub, dining(breakfast) area waiter/waitress EXCELLENT service...least liked: no cable service for TV for that night, elevated was effected/ not working probably, Service desk clerk assuming that we knew how to use their one of a kind hotel key and parking pass. guest were confused and lost on the elevator process...it was a mess. Elevator and or card reader may not work. IT should be standard process to explain key process....especially if there are two separate cards. Otherwise, I would have given a rating of 5. our next visit will probably be midtown

Room Tip: request balcony if you can, city view is great at night! not near the elevator!

The HGI in Atlanta is really a pretty nice hotel. It's centrally located; close to shopping and some great dining. It's also convenient having a Legal Sea Food attached to the hotel - but they are separate; no adding to your hotel bill. There's even a door connecting the restaurant (second floor) right off the elevators - but they are independent of the hotel. The staff is what sets this hotel apart; and makes up for some fairly dated offerings. They are friendly, and genuinely want to help. The rooms are actually rather nice and reasonable size. There's a good space (and outlets!) for the business traveler. However - when you enter the room and the beds are concave...well, that's not something you expect to see! They weren't the most uncomfortable out there - but given the shape - it's time to step up and replace! Bottom line, while it's nice to have a nice room - you rent rooms to ensure you have a place to sleep! And a comfortable bed is a priority! If this were the case, the HGI on Baker would have received at least a very good rating. If you find yourself in need of a hotel in Atlanta, this is still a good place to stay - but it could be a LOT better with a good mattress!

Room Tip: Ask when the bed was last replaced!

Perfect location when going to the Georgia aquarium and the world of Coke. Breakfast was really great! Could use a few updates. Always our first choice when staying in downtown Atlanta Georgia. Great for families.

I stayed for 1 night in May 2017 at Hilton Garden Inn as part of a business trip to Atlanta. The check in experience was nice and fast, the room was quite spacious and I had a Jacuzzi in my room too! I booked a basic room so I'm not sure if that comes with all the rooms but I definitely liked it. The bed was very comfy and large. I had dinner in their seafood restaurant and I enjoyed it, however it's little bit pricey. The view from my room was below average which is expected in a downtown hotel. The breakfast I had was quite good and the restaurant staff were helpful and nice. In short words, it's a good place to stay for business.

We are local to the area but decided to stay downtown to participate in our friends wedding. The property was very convenient and connected to the wedding and reception at Ventana. Rooms were modern, clean and spacious. The front desk staff were very accommodating in our room selection. Unfortunately the hotel had fire alarm announcements throughout the night which prevented us from getting a good nights sleep. The front desk did a great job at recovery by comping our room service. I would stay here again but just know this hotel tends to be pretty crowded but I like the convenience of it.
