This house is phenomenal! Who knew this amazing and beautiful house was hidden among 28 acres near Buckhead? Beautifully restored with everything on display, it really gives you a sense of what being a socialite in 1920's Atlanta was all about. I love the interaction throughout and the ability to explore at your own pace. The grounds are just as beautiful and intriguing as the interior with gardens, a swept lawn and playhouse to explore. If you love history, you will adore the Swan House. It is not to be missed when in Atlanta. As a side note: I would not recommend it for kids. There are lots of period pieces and roped off areas.

The teens in my group were interested in this specific part of the larger historical site in Atlanta. The rooms with characters (in costume, speaking as one of the persons who lived/visited Swan House) made it enjoyable, but much of the house is not staffed.

If you like to visit house museums, this is for you. We visit the Swan House periodically and take visitors from out of town there. Everyone always enjoys the visit. The house is beautiful and the history is interesting. There is a restaurant in the Coach House that is an Atlanta tradition for ladies. The gift shop in the Coach House is nice and there is a small art museum. A very nice place to visit.

I've seen many historic homes and some palaces in Europe and this home is up there with the best. The costumed guides were truly wonderful and unforgettable and the views....wow!

One of my absolute favorite places to go! Tucked in Buckhead area, you wouldn't think the Atlanta History Center would have 22 acres behind it of peaceful & beautiful gardens, and the Swan House. Staff in character made the self-tour so interactive on every level and the home felt livable, even now compared to the 1930s. Gardens to walk through, old cars to see (a Model T you can pose in!), and great views from all angles. Even some extra info on how they transformed the house for parts of the film Hunger Games: Catching Fire. Love it!!
