“This is a GREAT choice when in downtown ATL”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 March 2012

I stayed at this hotel on a Sunday night. The valet was very busy due to the concert at Phillips Arena, but made sure we didn't have to wait very long to take our car. He was extremely polite and gracious. The front desk staff was EXCELLENT. They really were great about helping us navigate our surroundings, getting us our rooms and offering a few extra amenities as I am a Priority Club member. The room was updated, the bathroom was clean and the air con worked fine. WIFI connection was easy. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for a downtown hotel in ATL.

Room Tip: Don't go to the Hooters 1 block up on Peachtree. The place is awful. The breakfast in the hote...

we checked in and noticed a very nice hotel. Across the street from centennial park. which was great for the kids since we were told they had a pool but didn't clarify if it was working or not. It was not operational...so we went to centennial park and the kids played in the fountains...something new to do...the room was great..the hotel has great food as well..the parking is costly...anytime you need to get something out of the car, you need the valet to bring your car around..more of a hassle than a big cost.

Thank you for your review of our hotel. We always look for to guest feedback so that we can continually improve our guest experience. I apologize for not having the pool ready for your family but we do not open the pool until Memorial Day, I will say however that the fountains at Centennial Park are just as fun as our pool. As you experienced, one of the great things about our hotel is how great it is for families. Thank you for your feedback, we hope to see you again the next time your family visits Atlanta.

My husband and I and our 3 year old daughter stayed 5 days in March 2012 and we had a wonderful time. We walked to Centennial Olympic Park almost daily. We felt safe and were very comfortable. When we wanted more pillow someone was there to bring it to us in a matter minutes. All the front desk people were super nice and friendly. Tracie and Terrance and all the other's were just wonderful. Breakfast was the best we ever had in a Hotel or anywhere for the that matter. Friendly staff there too. The patio with the fountain was just an unexpected pleasure! Thank you Holiday inn for a truely good time!!!

Room Tip: We stayed in a corner suites which was perfect for us. Plenty of room and good views.

Thank you for your review of the hotel! I am so glad that you enjoyed your stay. Our hotel not only is the perfect location for seeing the sights of Atlanta but also very family friendly. The outdoor patio is one of my favorite places in the hotel, especially on a nice summer day. Next time, feel free to take your breakfast out on the patio and enjoy it even more. We love our staff as well and they work very hard to make your stay is as awesome as possible. Thanks again for taking the time to write a review, guest feedback is the best way we have to improve our guest experience. See ya soon!

Nice hotel with good location, but had a negative experience here. I tagged along with my husband on a business trip so I could take our children to the aquarium, children's museum, etc. We received a weird phone call from the front desk on our second night around 4 AM. It was the front desk saying there was a person asking to come up to our room. First of all, this call woke up our peacefully sleeping 8 month old infant. Secondly, we did not ask, nor wanted anyone to come up to our room at 4AM!!!! Management promised to look into incident, but no one has called us to follow up. We ended up checking out a night early, as we did not want to spend another night here. My husband is a Holiday Inn priority club platinum member, and hasn't experienced anything like this before. Front desk said the person knew my husband's last name, even though he told no one at the convention he was attending at another hotel where he was staying. Also, I went down the wrong hallway once, and a woman said my specific room number was down the other hallway, although I never told her what my specific room number was.. kind of creepy.

I stayed at the hotel late February on business overnight. The rooms were clean and well designed while the beds were very comfortable. From check-in to check out service was satisfactory. The hotel is well located for any downtown activity and easy access tothemain thoroughfares to get to the suburbs. The hotel had a nice restaurant service was good food was good as well, although a bit pricey. All in all a good hotel and a great value fro the price.
