“Nature, clean air and great friendly hosts”

We were a 12 person extended family, spanning from 5 to 70+ years of age. We spent 5 nights in this villa, and enjoyed our stay quite a lot.

The village is beautiful, as if taken from a greeting card. Green mountains (at least in the summer), cows and chickens, farmers... There is a grocery store right nearby, and also some good restaurants quite close.

The villa itself has all the required facilities. 3 floors, 1st with the entrance and a kitchen, the 2nd floor with 4 bedrooms and a dining area, and the 3rd floor with the rest of the bedrooms. WiFi is available throughout the villa. Every bedroom has its own bathroom, plus another toilet in the dining area.
The only missing thing is a real living room. There is a sofa on the 2nd floor central area, though. Also, don't expect a newly renovated house.

The hosts, Ioana and Nacho, are the most friendly, helpful and welcoming couple. They made our stay extremely enjoyable. Walking trails and attractions recommendations, as well as maps or any other required help is always available from them. Notifying in advance, they can also arrange breakfast in the villa which is a very nice way to start the day with some tasty local home made goods.

“The Land That Time Forgot”

This place was magical! It sits in a valley in a land that time forgot. Farmers harvest hay by hand and haul it up giant hills on their backs. Sheep with long tails lounge about in green pastures. Chickens scratch around in the fields, laying eggs that are eaten for breakfast in the morning. The hosts are warm and friendly and the breakfast was magnificent. All of the food was local. The honey came from the hives across the street. The eggs from the chickens on the hill. The jam was made from local fruits. There was a plum brandy that was unforgettable! There's a small creek that runs directly in front of the house which you can hear all of time since there are hardly any cars. I hope to return some day.

We were a group of 7 people, spanning 3 generations of our family, on 22 day, 11 country road-trip across Europe. There was a quite swing outside for relaxing, a large table inside for playing games, wifi to keep everybody connected, and a grocery store and great restaurant within walking distance. We wished for more time so we could experience some of the hiking trails in the area, as this property served as a waypoint in the trail system.

“Great base for walking”

12 of us stayed here for the last two weeks of August. It was our first trip to Romania and we had no idea what to expect. Moiecui de Sus is a perfect base for walking holidays, which is what we were after. Our hosts Ioana and Nacho couldn't have been more helpful, they produced maps for us and where there wasn't a map available, drew out plans for us to follow. The area is stunning with amazing wild flowers and a mix of old and new, the internet in the house was very fast but you could still see horses and carts trotting past the window every day.
