While staying in Umbria, we spent an amazing day with Mark exploring the great wines of the Montefalco area. Mark was a wonderful host, sharing his knowledge of the area, and the wine in a very friendly and approachable way. We loved all 3 of the cantinas he chose for us to visit, and had the most amazing lunch at a beautiful little hotel in the country. We were able to purchase wine all through our day, the only trouble we had was choosing which bottles to take with us! Giselle was extremely helpful during the planning of our trip, answering questions and going out of her way to make sure we had a special day. Thank you Mark and Giselle for everything you did to make our wine tasting day so wonderful!

As a true friend of Mark & Giselle I can confirm that the comment made about them being fined is a load of nonsense & is obviously a fake, badly written review. I find it hard to believe that this has been posted without confirming with them that this person had actually been on one of their wonderful tours.

Just came back from our 20 days trip to Europe and Gusto Wine tour was one of our most memorable experience. If you think you do not like dry wines, this tour will change your mind! Mark was a wonderful guide, and Giselle was soooo.. kind for going the extra mile guiding us to Assisi!

P.S.: Whether they got fined or not, I trust it is a minor issue Mark & Giselle will overcome. This should not stop anyone from taking this wonderful tour!

Oh....I forgot to mention... we truly LOVED the lunch!

Best of Luck!

Hello ladies! We're so glad you had a great day! It was a delight to meet you.
How did your videos of the grape picking come out?

As you can see, we do not usually reply to our reviewers - but in this instance I think that it's worth putting your mind at ease and let you know that we haven't been fined and the review is a completely false one.
We don't know this person, so how we can be friends is a mystery!
Correct English would have been something to aim for too.
Please rest assured we are working on getting this reviewer permanently banned from Trip Advisor as a malicious reviewer.

I'm so sorry that you and others have had to witness the petty jealousies so common in this country. We are very proud of our business and work extremely hard to make sure everyone has the best day of their holidays.

We booked our day tour with Gusto Wines at fairly short notice and were given detailed and accurate instructions by Giselle to get to a meeting place in Perugia where we were staying. We were on the tour with a young Australian honeymoon couple whom we met at the meeting point just before Mark Stafford arrived. We drove the short distance into the heart of Umbria and into a day which was a highlight of our four weeks in Italy. In the course of the day we went to three cantinas, each one uniquely different and at each one received the most fantastic hospitality. Mark is a talented, friendly and chatty host and his knowledge of wine sits easily – no affectation or arrogance. One of the highlights of the day was our lunch in a brilliant local agriturismo – food was delectable. We were particularly appreciative of the fact that both Mark and the hostess had made such efforts because one of our party was a vegetarian and had nut allergies. Gusto Wines offer a fantastic days authentic experience – authentic is an oft overused word but in this case it sums the experience up perfectly. We were given the opportunity to not only taste some excellent Umbrian wines but also to purchase and send some wines home – all of which have arrived safely and will be enjoyed for years to come! We would recommend this tour to anyone and look forward ourselves to returning one day.

A group of four couples from Connecticut to Mark and Giselle's "Gusto WIne Tour," while we were staying in Perugia. Mark picked us all up at our hotel, and brought us to three family owned wineries and a family-owned restaurant for a private lunch. We sampled delicious wines and toured wineries throughout the area. I don't remember the name of the restaurant Mark brought us to, but we were all talking about the meal for days after we ate there. We had a lot of laughs, a lot of wine, and all in all, one of the best days of our trip.
