We stayed here the night of August 30th. The hotel staff were so helpful to us to locate a great restaurant and a market within walking distance. The hotel is beautiful and impeccably clean. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a downtown location.

Stayed here for a wedding in Richmond. The hotel is very nice and clean. My only 2 minor complaints are the room is very small and no inroom safe!

Great Irish pub directly across the street with live band.

Had a great time in the Bistro with Tevin! good luck with tryouts for team Galaxy!

This hotel is truly downtown. It is very nice, clean and had a helpful staff. Room was real nice and clean and quiet with great beds. The Bistro had limited hours in the morning and evening, however, there are several nice places to eat or drink within walking distance. We actually walked up to the Tobacco Company but it was still closed due to the fire they had some months ago. The downside is that I was told there was no self -parking at the hotel and the valet charge is $25 a day over the phone. However, once there, I found there was self parking that was around $16 a day and I wasn't quite sure where it was so I used the valet parking. Another thing that I wasn't used to was that there weren't any bellmen to take luggage up the room or bring it back down. The valet did get me a dolly but I secured my own when we were leaving. Over all, I had a nice stay and would stay there again.

Room tip: I asked for a room close to the elevator and that is what we got.

Hotel is decent, basic, clean. Staff at check in friendly enough. Checked out, asked for an electronic folio to be sent. Told it was on the way. All good, figured when I returned home it would be there. 6 days later, no folio. Call the property, ask for a folio. Gentleman on the line asks, "Is this your email address?" I confirm, he says, "Sending right now." An hour later, no folio. WTH is going on, why do I have to chase this down? As a Starwood Lifetime Platinum, I wondered what the Marriott experience would be. Told by others, "you will be disappointed with the merger." So far, 100% correct. SECONDARY NOTE: they charge well over $20 for parking. The lot DIRECTLY across the street, half to 2/3 of what Marriott charges. Use that lot.

Room tip: If you need a folio, have them print it at checkout.

We pulled up out front, not sure exactly where to go, but right away there was a valet attendant ready to help us. He asked if we needed a luggage cart and got us one very quickly. From there on in, it was a very nice stay. From the front desk, to the Star Buck Baristas everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and comfortable.

Room tip: 2nd floor, with a view of the front courtyard. In spite of a very crowded street out front, we were not bothered by any noise.
