My husband and I went for a late breakfast on a Thursday and found the menu to be creative and the omelettes very tasty. The restaurant is in an older building and decorated with semi-antiques. There were only a few patrons and we, semi-retirees, were definitely the oldest. But it was delightful chatting with the young couple and their baby at the next table. A challenge but not impossible is finding on the street parking. The restaurant is in a historical section of Richmond and not in a suburban shopping center. This is both positive and negative.

After seeing this place on the Food Network and Discovery Channel, we knew that we wanted to give it a try. While it is mainly a sit-down restaurant, they did allow us to stand off to the side and order for take out. The sandwiches are quite unique combinations of ingredients with extremely generously portioned servings on delicious crusty bread. Some of the combos might sound outlandish to some less adventurous eaters, but give them a shot and you won't be disappointed. We got a selection of 3 half sandwiches to split between 3 people and everyone was both stuffed and happy with the choices. If we're ever back in the area again, we'll make sure to set this as a destination!

My wife and I went on a rainy Tuesday night hoping that we'd get in since there is limited seating and we've heard so many great things about their food. We started out with the mushroom pate and that was very tasty and perfect size for an appetizer. I ordered the pan seared salmon and she had the USS Virginia, or fried chicken livers. She got the half baguette and it was huge and she said it was very good. My salmon was delicious, a sizable portion and surrounded in a sauce by many types of vegetables. Our downfall was ordering the slice of peanut butter pie with a fudge crust. Oh my gracious, so good, so filling, and one slice is enough for 2-3 people. Our server did a fine job and all entrees are certainly reasonably priced. We will be back, very soon hopefully !

Such a little hole in the wall restaurant that we found based on reviews while traveling to the area. I was surprised by the creative twist on comfort dishes. The restaurant is small with eclectic decor. The waitress was great and provided good recommendations for brunch. It felt like a restaurant you would find in DC or Seattle and not at all what I was expecting in Richmond. The portions are generous, the food full of flavor and everyone enjoyed their meals.
