This hotel is in a fairly remote location, with the final 10minutes driving over a poorly maintained road with some deep pot-holes. The rooms are beautiful, with a large bedroom, bathroom with separate shower and large living room (shame no English TV channels available) The living room doors open onto a sitting area with two chairs and coffee table looking towards the excellent swimming pool. The breakfast was adequate whist dinner was inconsistent (the worst pasta we have had anywhere!) and this was a serious downside given the remote location. Dinner also has a singer who was quite good but the same songs dominated her performance every evening (often to allow the owners pre-teen son to sing the songs he knew) This entertainment would not suit everyone.

Capo Nieddu is an excellent choice of accommodation in Sardinia. We had never visited the island before but, buoyed by the reviews, opted for here as it seemed to tick all the right boxes. You do need a car, but then that is pretty true of the island as a whole, but you will be rewarded at the end of the country lanes, by a wonderfully relaxing resort with great views over the western coast.

It is family run, with a few employees, and all are tremendously friendly. There are around 10 rooms in total, all furnished to a very high standard, with your own small patio out the back. The whole place has a very informal feel, and due to the size of the grounds, you feel like you have it to yourself. On site are the sprawling olive groves and vineyards, the latter of which make the excellent red and white wine available at the restaurant, as well as a large vegetable garden - they only serve homegrown fruit and veg. A large equestrian centre is on site (1,5h hacks for 50euros), but for me the highlight was the pool area. It is, like the rest of it, finished to a very high standard, with plenty of comfortable loungers, and a covered BBQ area. This is all within a beautiful 'garden', full of bougainvilleas, cacti, small palms and cycads.

The restaurant is tasty and convenient - the chef is friendly and approachable, and cooks to a high standard. His various pasta dishes in particular hit the spot for me. Whilst you will need to drive if you want to eat elsewhere, the staff are happy to recommend and book alternative restaurants so you don't feel obliged to eat there.

The spa unfortunately is still yet to open (due to jobsworthy local authorities apparently) but the staff can organise a massage in your room, at the very reasonable rate of 50euros per hour. Location wise it is situated off the beaten track, about halfway between Cuglieri and Santa Catterina, and around 2 hours from Olbia and Cagliari. The wi-fi is free, though due to the walls it isn't great in the rooms. It is very good everywhere else on the grounds, including your patio.

We loved every minute of our week holiday, really beautiful views, excellent restaurant (we ate out the first couple of nights and decided to try the restaurant and we loved it, food was really good and the atmosphere was very special, it was a mistake on our part to have eaten out the first few nights!), amazing staff, especially Francesca who gave us tips for our daily trips, great pool which was just perfect for chilling and messing about with the kids on the days we didn't venture out. Beautiful beaches to visit nearby, what can I say "a dream holiday" which was thoroughly enjoyed by the whole family.

An oasis at the end of seemingly endless country lanes. Don't be put off by the lack of sign posts - just keep driving until you run out of road! And there in front of you amongst the olive groves and vinyards is Capo Nieddu holiday retreat. The staff are very friendly and always happy. The restaurant food is to die for. The local chef (or cooker as they call him!) ensures it changes every night - presents a beautiful dish for every course - mouthwatering and plentiful. Add to this their home grown wine of international standard, a tranquil view over the undulating countryside down to the sea in the middle distance and you have nirvana!
The accomodation is very spacious, modern and very clean. All the accessories are available. And all of this - in amongst the endless unspoilt vista - all due to the owner - Francesca Fevoli from Milan who has brought her business acumen to bear on this establishment. Consequently her idea of how AgroTurismo is meant to be.......has been indelibly stamped in this area. Her command of the English language, together with her friendliness and charm makes life in this mini retreat even more special.
We couldn't have wished for more, to be honest.

Any downsides: The Spa hasn't opened yet due to local government politics - so this was a little dissappointing but was soon forgotten after another glass of wine!

Only RyanAir fly into Alghero in the North West corner of Sardinia (1hr 50 to the venue). There are two other international airports equidistant from Capo Nieddu: Cagliari on the south coast and Olbia in the NE corner. Road conditions are excellent and very very quiet.

Room Tip: Not much to choose from in terms of differences, really. Perhaps colour schemes! All rooms are spacious, airy and have pleasant views.

My new wife and I thoroughly enjoyed Caponieddu.
From the moment we arrived on the vast sprawling grounds we were made right at home.
Our hosts made our visit a unique and wonderful stay.
It is important to note that the location is quite remote. You will feel as though you are lost on your first ride to the Spa. But from the food, the lovely olive tree fields, wildlife, amazing vistas, tremendous service, activities and attention to detail, I can't recommend this place any more.
A quintessential Sardinian experience.
