I've never spent so much time in a lobby of a hotel, but this one has such great energy and style that it makes you want to hang out there. One evening of our stay there was a reception in the lobby with complimentary wine for guest who were travel reward members.
I'm partial to the modern aesthetic of this hotel, from the beautiful lobby, to the sleek rooms. We had a gorgeous view overlooking the Charles River and the Boston skyline. It's an idyllic setting for a city hotel - close to nature trails and the bustle of the city.
The Cambridgeside Galleria (shopping mall) is literally across the street which means you have access to shopping and a food court with many eating options. There is a Cheesecake Factory in the mall too. Be careful crossing the street though, a pedestrian was struck on the crosswalk while we were at the hotel. Luckily, she wasn't hurt.
Travelling with two young children means we usually chose a hotel with a pool. The pool is located in an atrium and is lovely. They played a movie at the pool one evening we were there.
I found the staff to be exceptionally nice and helpful. We were travelling in a vehicle that would not fit in the parking garage; however, they were able to accommodate it in their service loading area. The one downfall of our stay was the cost of parking - $45 per night, but parking in Boston is pricey. I would definitely return to this hotel, but without a car.
