The gardens were pretty, Best time to go would be the springtime because of the flowers and plants.

“Beautiful”
Reviewed 6 December 2011

We have been to Lincoln memorial garden 2 times. The first time we took a stroll all the way to Springfield Lake and the views are great. To me, the best time to visit is in the Fall.

“A peaceful oasis only minutes from downtown.”
Reviewed 12 September 2010

We strolled a few of the many trails and paths through this naturalistic landscape of woodlands and meadows on the south banks of Springfield Lake. A cool, relaxing hour just a few miles from downtown Springfield.

“beautiful at any season”
Reviewed 13 April 2007

I live in springfield---the Lincoln Memorial Garden is beautiful at any time of year. the trails are easy to walk for everyone....one even has a good view of Springfield Lake.
the Garden has native plants for sale in April....an excellent buy, and doesn't deplete native wildflowers.
there is a nice gift show on site....there are guided tours, or you can do the tour on your own.
many plants and trees are marked for easy identification for hikers.
