We have just returned from a very relaxing week at the Villa Marie. It was just what we wanted, very quiet & peaceful. It is family run & they are lovely, friendly people. The rooms are small but adequate, great pool, lovely breakfast & they also do nice light meals at lunch. It is a bit further out from the town than we had anticipated but not a problem. We would be happy to return.

This hotel is perfect about 10 mins from town, further to a variety of beaches, depends on which one you choose as they are a few, we walked to several our favourite was Karvouno which was sandy. Would recommend beach shoes as some have pebbles getting into water. Villa Marie rooms are smallish but have everything you need, mosquito screen which is great as you can your windows open, air con, mini fridge, hairdryer and safe in wardrobe. Cleaner came in every day, lots of fresh towels and sheets. The owners couldn't do enough for you, they made us a mini breakfast and left it in fridge when we went on an early morning trip. Breakfast was very nice and plenty of it, was lovely to wake up to smell of croissants baking in the oven. Pool area was very nice comfy beds and sturdy parasol and plenty of seating in the shade, and they were frequently coming to ask if you needed any refreshments. We would definitely return, we are missing our cocktails watching the fantastic sunsets at the harbour. If you get chance go on Meteora trip is a long day but is amazing.

Room Tip: We had room 3 which was shaded by lemon trees, by the pool. Higher rooms will probably get more Sun.

Very charming and friendly staff at this wonderful hotel, the staff treated us very nice indeed. The staff made us feel " at home ".

Great breakfast every morning that was served by the staff and they always had a smile on their face . It took only two days and then they knew what we wanted to drink in the morning.

We just loved the surroundings by the hotel and with just a little walk ( 1 km ) from the hotel we were down by the harbor and the restaurants.

The room was clean and fresh. The cleaning lady did a great job every day.

This is a hotel that we would love to visit again and we highly recommend it. A great place for both couples and families. We truly recommend it for all of you who wants a quiet and pleasant vacation.

Just spent 2 delightful weeks at Villa Marie, lovely hotel.

Rooms are fairly small but spotlessly clean, maid service every day & the balcony is tiny but it’s nice to sit out, shower is excellent although no means of fixing shower head on the wall, very comfy beds. Air conditioning was free too.

Pool area is really nice comfy sun beds & lots of seating in the shade, it’s very nice having breakfast outside on the garden terrace.

But the best thing about it are Marie and Themis and their mum in fact all their family, they are lovely friendly people nothing is too much trouble & always greet you with a smile.

The bar isn’t open late into the evening but we did stay at the hotel one night and Themis offered to drive into town to fetch us a pizza.
My wife fell & hurt her foot so Marie was quick with the ice pack & Themis gave us a lift into town the next day and offered to come back for us at the end of the night, which we couldn’t accept but was really kind of him to offer.

It’s a 15 minute walk into town, a little longer coming back up the slight hill.

Tip 1 - First time you walk into town make special note of where you change direction, any signs you see in the day you won’t see at night!!
Tip 2 – Insect repellent is a must the buggers will get your ankles when you’re sat having a meal!

p.s. Themis, the bird we asked you about that you can hear in the night is a Scops Owl.

Room Tip: 1st floor poolside rooms get the late afternoon sun
