“excellent standard house in perfect location”
Reviewed 12 June 2015 for a stay in June 2015

Stayed here first week in June ( 2 couples) and can highly recommend this property . It is spacious, comfortable and very stylishly furnished. The location , right in the town centre, but in a quiet street is perfect. There are loads of restaurants within a few minutes walk .
The booking process was very efficient, right from the first contact, and the housekeeper who welcomed us was great
The provision of a free , secure car parking space was an unexpected touch, which proved to be essential , especially on market day.
A perfect stay

“Fabulous Provençal Townhouse in wonderful location”
Reviewed 20 May 2015 for a stay in May 2015

We had a wonderful weeks holiday staying at La Marisol . What a wonderful house, very comfortable , very stylish, it had everything you could wish for, well equipped Provençal kitchen, large comfortable sitting room with English TV , wifi.
We used the double bedroom with the ensuite bathroom with access onto the roof terrace , we loved sitting up there reading and relaxing as well as sitting in the lovely garden.
The location of the property is so convenient for everything right in the heart of the town, but at the same time very quite and peaceful to relax in. Car parking facilities - perfect, very close by. The property was immaculately clean decorated and furnished to very high standard.
Rachel has put a lot of thought and effort into this house to make it so comfortable and welcome for her guest. We would highly recommend La Marisol and hope to return.

“Beautiful home in a beautiful town!”
Reviewed 10 December 2014 for a stay in November 2014

We stayed at La Marisol for three blissful weeks in November 2014. What a stunning house. This is more a home than house! It has been renovated respectfully, in classic Provençal style yet it is equipped with all modern amenities - AC in all rooms, a beautiful French country kitchen with fantastic gas oven, big comfy beds and stylish bed linen. The huge oval bath is gorgeous. It's one of those houses you never want to leave! In fact, we spent much of our holiday inside as it was so homely.

The house is perfectly located right within town. Every day, we would walk around the corner to the local boulangerie or patisserie to pick up treats. On thurs and Sundays, there are farmers markets where we picked up delicious local produce, olives, pate, and so much amazing cheese! Other days, we would go for walks around the River, discovering new waterwheels, feed the ducks. Such a beautiful, relaxing holiday.

Highly recommend this house and we would definitely like to visit again in the future!

“Absolutely lovely home well located in the heart of L'Isle sur la Sorgue”

We enjoyed a beautiful two weeks in La Marisol in the very heart of the village. The home is wonderfully equipped and beautifully maintained. Parking in the village could be a big issue, and having a reserved spot was a huge bonus. We could easily travel to multiple towns and villages to sightsee and visit the markets. The Sunday market in L'Isle sur la Sorgue is not to be missed! A variety of restaurants and bistros within easy walking distance is a nice plus. The kitchen makes it easy to eat at home. Highly recommend this special home!

““A Wonderful Provencal Townhouse””
Reviewed 30 June 2014 for a stay in June 2014

”My husband and I stayed in this lovely home for a week in June. While we were anticipating La Marisol to be a good base for exploring the delights of Provence, given the pictures and reviews that we had seen prior to our arrival, it was certainly so much more. Although the house is situated in a really central location in this pretty town and convenient for restaurants and shops, it is also very quiet and peaceful.

The house itself is stylish yet comfortable and has all the amenities you would require during your stay. The size of the bedrooms at La Marisol is generous and would cater easily for 6 adults without the house feeling crowded and that doesn’t include the additional sofa bed in the salon! The Provencal style kitchen is well equipped with a large dining table, and is a bright and restful place to enjoy meals. The salon is spacious yet has a cosy atmosphere is which to relax. Outside, there is a good sized courtyard with plenty of outside furniture including table and chairs for outside dining, so ideal if you had a larger group and require an outside but private space to enjoy.

As for the location of L’isle Sur La Sorgue, a wonderful selection of individual and interesting shops and restaurants and easy access to some of the most beautiful villages of the region (such as Gordes, Rousillon, Menerbes, Lacoste, Goult, Chateauneuf du Pape to name but a few!). The hustle and bustle of market day in L’isle Sur La Sorgue is an amazing town event which is definitely something fascinating to experience on a Sunday morning when the whole place transforms into a lively feast for the eyes and senses! There is also a smaller market on Thursday too but Sunday has the “Wow!” factor. From the moment you begin to walk around the market stalls with the wonderful fragrance of lavender floating in the air along with handmade Provençal soaps and the sight of a huge variety of other interesting products from interesting arts and crafts to food and wine temptations or the fantastic array of home wares including beautiful good quality linens. It truly is worthwhile spending some time (and maybe a few euros) there on market day.

So, if you’re looking for a home with atmosphere but with modern and stylish comforts in a pretty accessible Provencal town with so much to offer then La Marisol is definitely somewhere you should consider, you would be mad not to!!
