““A Wonderful Provencal Townhouse””

”My husband and I stayed in this lovely home for a week in June. While we were anticipating La Marisol to be a good base for exploring the delights of Provence, given the pictures and reviews that we had seen prior to our arrival, it was certainly so much more. Although the house is situated in a really central location in this pretty town and convenient for restaurants and shops, it is also very quiet and peaceful.

The house itself is stylish yet comfortable and has all the amenities you would require during your stay. The size of the bedrooms at La Marisol is generous and would cater easily for 6 adults without the house feeling crowded and that doesn’t include the additional sofa bed in the salon! The Provencal style kitchen is well equipped with a large dining table, and is a bright and restful place to enjoy meals. The salon is spacious yet has a cosy atmosphere is which to relax. Outside, there is a good sized courtyard with plenty of outside furniture including table and chairs for outside dining, so ideal if you had a larger group and require an outside but private space to enjoy.

As for the location of L’isle Sur La Sorgue, a wonderful selection of individual and interesting shops and restaurants and easy access to some of the most beautiful villages of the region (such as Gordes, Rousillon, Menerbes, Lacoste, Goult, Chateauneuf du Pape to name but a few!). The hustle and bustle of market day in L’isle Sur La Sorgue is an amazing town event which is definitely something fascinating to experience on a Sunday morning when the whole place transforms into a lively feast for the eyes and senses! There is also a smaller market on Thursday too but Sunday has the “Wow!” factor. From the moment you begin to walk around the market stalls with the wonderful fragrance of lavender floating in the air along with handmade Provençal soaps and the sight of a huge variety of other interesting products from interesting arts and crafts to food and wine temptations or the fantastic array of home wares including beautiful good quality linens. It truly is worthwhile spending some time (and maybe a few euros) there on market day.

So, if you’re looking for a home with atmosphere but with modern and stylish comforts in a pretty accessible Provencal town with so much to offer then La Marisol is definitely somewhere you should consider, you would be mad not to!!

“Wonderful week in L'Isle sue la Sorge”

This is a very nice apartment, clean, well equipped and quiet. We stayed a week with two other couples (total of 6 people) and found the apartment perfect for us. The apartment is apparently recently renovated, is bright and comfortably furnished. The bathrooms are modern and bright. The large kitchen has everything you need. The clothes washer, dryer and dishwasher were great.

The location could not be better, it's one half a block off a main street with the whole town within a 10 minute walk. There are four wonderful bakeries in the neighborhood and a grocery store 5 minutes away.

The apartment is on the second and third floors using the USA convention (first and second floors in European convention) and all access is up a narrow winding stair. This was not a problem to us but potential renters should note reasonable mobility is needed to get in and to get up the narrow, steep stair to the bed rooms.

If you want to spend some time exploring central Provence, this is the perfect place to stay.

“Style and flair in a wonderful location”

This wonderful house is in a fantastic location in the heart of picturesque Sorgue, and was a terrific base for my large family of 8 to explore the area.
You will want for nothing as this house has everything you will need for a comfortable stay. Wifi, English TV and a range of DVDs were welcome for my younger children after being deprived of these after 3 weeks of travel. For the parents, a very stylish house with great attention to detail, and decorated with obvious flair and passion awaits. The pictures don't do justice to it. Immaculetly clean, and professionally managed, this is a property I have no hesitation in recommending.
