We have stayed many times in St Paul, and this relatively new hotel only a mile or so from the village was a real find. It is run by chef Alain Llorca and his wife. Built into the hillside looking out towards St Paul (beware, not all rooms have a view of the town), the hotel offers first class accommodation. The rooms are huge, and are equipped with large circular baths. Beds are supremely comfortable. For spaciousness and unforced charm, this hotel cannot be beaten. just one quibble. When we were paying 20 Euros for breakfast, it was a surprise to be charged extra for boiled eggs. And it is not obvious what is on offer, either. There is no buffet, but cheese and ham are available on request. Nevertheless, I heartily recommend this hotel. It offers the best rooms in the area, and Mme Llorca, who supervises everything with super efficiency and with a smile, could not be more helpful. My advice: if you have a concern, tell her, and all will be fixed.
