Hospitality is a high value for me, meaning, feeling welcome and feeling safe. Secondarily, when I'm staying at a hotel property, I need cleanliness and comfort.
My Place surpassed each of those. Today as I woke up in my own bed after being gone for six five days, I thought, "My bed is so comfortable, but the bed at My Place was SUPERB!" I mentioned the sheets and comforter cover to the manager - butter soft.
The manager was very helpful when I had a question about local grocers and suggestions for dining - professional, yet kind and engaging.
High points? Shuttle service to and from the airport - which is fabulously close by, so you can get to that beyond-comfortable bed. Friendly and personable, efficient and safe. Drivers were outstanding. I love conversation, especially from locals. (But hey, if you're not a conversationalist, they respect that too - we talked about how some folks just need a quiet space.)
I love that there was a mini-kitchen, though, except for the ice-maker included in the full-size fridge, and the coffee maker, I didn't cook.
And, I had a recliner, which was delightful to have coffee and a pastry in the early morning sunshine - and late evening sunshine with a glass of wine and whatever cheese I had in the 'fridge...oh, and pizza delivery.
