Revel has a modern but simple interior with bright walls and an exposed kitchen that has wonderful Asian-inspired fusion small plates, and some larger dishes. We typically opt for small plates to share. On the last trip we tried the pancake w/pork belly, kimchi, and bean sprout; shrimp and bacon dumpling; and the dungeness crab noodle dish. All were wonderful and highly recommended. The wait can be long, but there is an attached bar next door called Quoin that offers the same menu. We sat on barstools and enjoyed the same dishes (and faster access to cocktails) without the wait. Can see becoming a regular, and looking forward to our next visit!

Love the atmosphere, food and prices. My only complaint is the service. Nice enough wait staff but not attentive at all. In fact, the waiter seemed to be on another planet the entire meal. That said, we will gladly risk that to experience the food again. It was outstanding.

Came here randomly one evening after being recommended by a server at a downtown bar. It's s couple of miles north of the downtown city centre area, which may put off some overseas visitors, but really is only 10mins and $12 in a cab, and believe me, it is WELL worth the trip!

It's quite an unassuming place from the outside, however the interior is a very modern open plan style arrangement and you can get up close and personal watching the chefs at work. This also makes for a great 'canteen' style atmosphere and you can feel the energy in the room.
The food they craft is a wide selection of Korean-fusion inspired dishes, which if you are a fan of Chinese or Thai style flavours and cuisine, you will pretty much love it. Some wonderful flavour pairings, very creative and just delicious. You will leave wanting more! The the menu changes monthly too, so there's your excuse for a second visit!

There's a fantastic drink selection too, with some very special in-house cocktails.

Service is great and we found all the staff to be very helpful, knowledgeable about the dishes, and very welcoming. Price is quite reasonable too, dinner and drinks won't break the bank by any means.

Don't expect to turn up and be seated immediately, though. Such is the local reputation that even when we showed up at 8pm on a Monday night, there was a 30 minute wait for tables. There is a bar next to the seated restaurant area and you can eat your food in there if you want to.

After our second visit I read up on the restaurants website about the chefs and background of the place. You can find the details yourself, but It is all very impressive and no surprise that it's such a great place to eat at!

One of the must-visit places if you're in town. I'll be back...

Revel is a great restaurant with Korean-inspired food. The jeon is probably the most Korean thing on the menu. The short rib rice dish is delicious, as is the crab noodle dish, which has a lot of crab meat in it. This is definitely not traditional Korean food and is more of a fusion-style restaurant. Revel has the feel of a New York restaurant in both space and atmosphere. This restaurant is expensive compared to most Asian restaurants.

My daughter and I went with close friends, another mother and daughter to Revel for a perfect fun casual mother-daughter dinner. Revel does not take reservations so the restaurant was full even at 6. We got lucky and got to sit at the large bar facing the open kitchen. The service was great and the food even better. It is Korean street food with yummy dumpling, gluten-free mung bean pancakes, fresh salads, and rice bowls with a protein and veggies. We loved everything. The atmosphere was fun and casual. A great value of great food and good-sized portions.
