This is a brand new restaurant, in a building which used to house a shabby looking Korean restaurant. Wow...I was impressed with the renovation! The owners obviously sunk some money into it, unlike the vast majority of pho places you see. The menu is extensive, with a wide variety of Vietnamese and Chinese dishes.
We were there when they were having a special, $5.99 for any pho. The problem is...there's nothing special about $5.99. Between Mekong Village's location on 120th, and 155th St in Shoreline, I can think of at least three places where the regular price of pho is $5.99 or less. MV's regular price is $6.99. Servings were on the small side.
No complaints about the taste of the food, good, but nothing that made it really stand out. I do plan to go back to try more things. Service was excellent. Far more waitstaff than I normally see in a restaurant, and they were excellent at being observant without being intrusive. If you're a stickler for cleanliness, MV beats any other pho restaurant I've seen.
