I enjoyed this area for a morning run and found the view beautiful. Was a great area to grab a cup of coffee after the run. Returned the next day for a long walk with a friend and a different day to have dinner along the beach. If I were to travel back to Seattle and didn't need to be downtown for work, I'd like to stay near Alki Beach because I enjoyed the relaxed vibe so much.

Loved the North side of Alki beach, where you can see the Seattle skyline to the East, and we also enjoyed looking at the really nice apartments and condos along the beach. However, we thought our kids could enjoy the beach and swim, but we were disappointed: the beach is sandy, but the water was so dirty! Not just a ton of algae, but also pieces of floating wood, plastic pieces, unidentified bubbles and much more. How disappointing!
The water was much cleaner at Lincoln Park, but so cold we couldn't swim anyway. And the pool over there didn't have much warmer water. Nice place to visit, but not for swimming.

We regularly head to Alki to see friends and entertain guests. Do not miss brunch at Salty's. If you are in the downtown area, take the water taxi for simplicity (check the schedule - does not run on weekends in winter).

What a view on a nice day! Could see all the Seattle Skyline, the ferries and other boat traffic. Many restaurants to chose from plenty of space to sit and drink coffee and people watch. We were treated to an Arts and Craft fair during our visit.

Very rocky and not really a swimming beach. I think we saw three people in the water. I'd recommend Seward Park for a visit over Akli Beach by a wide margin.
