Having stayed here on my own in 2019 (for which I wrote a rave review here at the time) I brought my family here as part of a Pacific NW trip we did last month. The hotel is still beautiful, historic, and perfect location as mentioned before. The furnishings did strike me as a little worn this time, but not dreadfully so. We slept well, and the room was quiet, most city noise blocked out. My one realization (which I hadn't thought of before) is that Oliver's Lounge, the downstairs restaurant with excellent cocktails and casual food, does not allow anyone under 21 to enter. So, that meant that we (with our teenage son) could not eat there, needed to exit the hotel to dine. Andaluca, the excellent restaurant right next door, only serves dinner (as of this writing) Fri and Sat. However, of course you can order room service from Oliver's and we did that at least one time and the suites offer plenty of room to spread our your room service order. And in general, just looking at different characterics and amenties, I would say maybe this is not the ideal downtown hotel if you plan on bringing the kids. But for an individual traveler, or couple, I continue to highly recommend it. It has an old-world charm that I cannot resist.

Room tip: ask for room on high floor

Thank you for taking the time to write about your stay and thank you for your review from 2019! We do apologize about Oliver's Lounge being a 21 and over. We are currently now open in Andaluca for breakfast daily and for dinner on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. We hope to open up more days and expand hours in the future.

We loved our stay at the Mayflower Hotel. It is a beautiful hotel with very comfortable rooms and incredibly helpful staff. The location is perfect - right off the LINK rail from the airport and easy walk to Pikes market and the Aquarium.

We just loved it here! An older hotel that was immaculately clean and so charming! Staff was very helpful and friendly. Within blocks of the Pike Place Market, waterfront and the Monorail to the Seattle Center.

We loved the hotel, the decor and architecture is beautiful . The walking distance to Pikes Market was .2 miles, easy terrain. The staff was excellent, especially the bell hops. They were friendly and super helpful.

Stayed here prior to taking an Alaskan cruise. The hotel is strategically located as it is connected internally to Westlake Center and the monorail terminal. The monorail is a direct trip to Space Needle ($3) and various museums.

The light rail from the airport has a stop underground. Getting from the underground level to the hotel with our every venturing onto the street is possible; however, if you are arriving from the airport with baggage, it may be easier to get to the street exit on the Nordstrom side and walk around.

To get to the hotel from the subway (level 3), follow the signage to the second level. Find the Nordstrom doors and take a short flight of stairs to the escalators. The escalators will get you to the food court. Enter the food court and move to the far left end. There will appear an exit towards your left. As you step to the doors to that left exit, there will be a hall to the right with signage for the Mayflower. At the end of the hall, the double doors into the hotel will be on your left. During normal business hours these doors are propped open. You will recognize that you are in the hotel lobby.

The hotel supports a restaurant and bar. The restaurant opens early for a full breakfast.

Room tip: Exterior view offers city scenes. Interior view rooms look into an inner courtyard of mechanical equipment.

We are happy to hear you enjoyed your stay and utilized our transit systems! Yes, the Light Rail is great way to the hotel if you don't have too much luggage! We are connected to the West Lake Mall, which the Monorail is also connected on the 3rd floor. Our connection is open during the mall operating hours, but the Monorail has its own hours with its own entrance on 5th &Pine. The Monorail is great way to get to the Seattle Center to catch a game at Climate Pledge Arena or to see the Space Needle!
