Chris took my mom and I out on a fun paddle and we had a spectacular time. He was very thorough in his explanations and tailored the trip to our interests. He went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and got the most out of the trip. I would highly recommend him to any guest.

This is a off the beaten path eclectic place to say the least. They come from far and wide, size, shape, color and age that's for sure. Our cabin was dry not so clean and sparse inside especially when it come to cooking utensils. It was however fun and a good "home base" while in Seward.

We spent a few days at Miller’s Landing on our recent Alaska vacation, it was awesome! Staff was always pleasant and helpful. Our RV site was near the showers but surprisingly not terribly noisy or busy. The views are beautiful. We enjoyed watching the charters come in and hang their catch. We took a full day fishing charter aboard the Fox Willie with Captain Bill and Deckhand Paul...... and had an awesome time! They treated us great and got us on fish. We went out hoping one of our four would get to experience catching a halibut and ended up with the whole group of ten getting at least one along with rockfish, Ling Cod and silvers! I had the catch of a lifetime! These guys know what they are doing and they are great at it! We just can’t thank them enough for the awesome experience we had. If opportunity knocks, I won’t hesitate to pack my polka dot boots and book another fishing trip with them!

Positives - staff was very friendly checking us in, beachfront site is right on the water and the view is great, there are showers and laundry if you need a stop that has those things.

Beyond that? The sites are small, cramped and nowhere near level. It’s very noisy with a party vibe. If that is your style and you prefer to be up late, socialize with lots of people and don’t want to worry about staying quiet then this is probably ok. We were looking for something more chill and peaceful which is why we chose to stay on the point instead of downtown. Bathrooms, showers and laundry were just not clean - in a wet, moldy, smelly kind of way. Maybe that’s just a factor of being so close to the water making it difficult to keep things from getting damp but it wasn’t pleasant.

We were booked for two nights but left after just one. Our next night we stayed in the public rv park downtown in a beachfront spot. View was just as amazing, and it was much quieter and guests were much more respectful of each other’s space.

Were sorry you did not find our campground up to your expectations. We often get the opposite response from our guests, the town campground generally has more of the party vibe with the bars and such just a few blocks away. Millers Landing is a way to get out of the town and the sounds of the shops and bars and commotion going on. However, we do understand that many people prefer the more cosmopolitan camping experience. The Seward campground has over 300 sites to choose from, blocks away from its commercial center, while we have a little over 50 sites, and are 3 miles from town.

The bathrooms are difficult to keep up with, we are located in a remote location, many locals use us as a summer time "fish camp" so we get a lot of people tracking mud through them on the rainier days. Having said that, we do have our staff go in multiple times and clean them and restock them. We are a temperate rain forest, and located on dirt roads, so it is a constant battle. If you decide to stay again, please let us know if they are not up to your standards and we will get some one over quickly to take care of it.

Many people stay here due to the many amenities we offer and activities we have going on. We have kayaking trips and fishing charters going out daily, free coffee in the store, and host a wide range of activities. We book for virtually everyone in town, at no cost to you.

I'm sorry Millers Landing wasn't what you had in mind, and found something more suited to your tastes. Thank you for your review!

We stayed for two nights and found the campground to be average. The sites are a bit muddy and crowded and our camping neighbors were quite noisy. The bathrooms are okay but not especially clean. It was a bit of a bumpy road to get to the campsites and a bit far to walk back into town for meals.

In fact, this is why many people choose to stay with us, to get away from the hustle and noise of town. Were always available to help quite down noisy neighbors, it does happen from time to time and I'm sorry this was one of those times.
