We had never experienced staying in a yurt, although we do camp. We had such a great time! We had 3 nights in the 30' and the last night we moved to the 24' due to a prior reservation. Our family consists of 6 adults and we were all so comfortable. The 30' yurt has 2 separate bedrooms and a large bathroom. Sue and Greg (and their 2 labs) were such great hosts... gave us many great hiking recommendations! They were so sweet and accommodating. The yurts were so clean and you have no idea you were in the outdoors, it felt like a cabin. We will definitely stay here again if we ever get the chance! We actually are considering a yurt for a vacation home of our own :) Diane & Greg Ball, Perrysburg, OH

Room Tip: Take the time to talk with the owners to get recommendations.

We picked this place on a recommendation from a friend and had to write a glowing review after. We rented the big yurt for four people and it was extravagant! Wonderful amenities, perfect temperature and had fresh grilled salmon on the grill outside! Fixed a couple of drinks and walked down to the wier on salmon creek to watch the salmon jumping. Then took a boat out of Seward to catch some silvers, and did exit glacier. Perfect weekend and a wonderful place to stay!

I loved it! We traveled with our adult daughter. I loved waking up and seeing the sky. You couldn't beat the view from our front porch. Sue was great, had homemade blueberry muffins in our yurt and showed us how to turn on the heat. As it was a little chilly on our second day. The yurt is fully furnished - no need to bring towels, toiletries, etc. Even has a little fridge and coffee maker. Not on top of Seward but close to everything that we wanted to do!

We stayed in the yurt with 2 adults and 4 kids for a week and everybody had a great time! The yurt was clean and very comfortable and the kitchenette had everything you really needed. We had a great time grilling and having fires outside every night and Seward was wonderful!! I highly recommend Sourdough Sue's Yurts!!

First of all I want to say that Sue spent time in the 80s in my home town of Kenwood Ca. Now for my review. Sue and Greg were so great to my family and made us fell so at home. My family and my self have never stayed in a YURT before and it was so great! With a fast life of computers and TVs in every room of our house in Orange County it was a great four day with our family and no TV just being together every night and spending time together!! The yurt was so fun and clean and Sue was so great!! Thank you Sue so much!! Hope to come back again someday!
