We got the last table on a Mon night around 6:15 and we’re glad we made reservations. They had a good selection of rolls which is our favorite. We ordered 3 different ones (volcano, spider and yum yum) along with seaweed salad for the 2 of us and we were filled after that. The prices were very reasonable and the sushi was fresh and delicious! The place is small and tucked away in a shopping center off Alli’i drive and worth the hunt to find it.

Went there for the dinner, we really wanted to eat sushis and choose this one because of good reviews, even if it seemed expensive.

It costed 70$ (+ tip) for one bottle of beer, a glass of wine, 6 pieces of nigiri and 2 small maki roll (volcano roll, rainbow roll) (8 pieces). It is expensive for what you got because these sushis are not better then those from the cheapest restaurant of my hometown (over 20 or 30). Rice is hard : not enough cooked or dry after too long behind the bar ? Nigiri were the best (fresh fish : salmon, scalop, maquereau), volcano roll was ok with a good sauce but... and the rainbow one were so stranges : it tasted like they drop in the salt pot !!!

It is sad because service was good and people working there were very kind.

While off the Alii strip, this small but bustling little restaurant was worth finding. Staff friendly and attentive answering any and all questions. Nice beer and sake selections. Had seaweed salad that was very well done and yum/yum, spider and Hawaiian volcano rolls which were very tasty. Very reasonable delivery time from ordering. Left very full and satisfied, Worth your sushi fix in Kona.

Good service and very nice food. The niguris and makis were a bit small. Still recommend this place!

I have been to this restaurant a few times years ago, and at the time I liked the food. This time I was really disappointed. The restaurant is a tiny, very casual place a half block from the beach with a few tables and a sushi counter.
The prices have definitely gone up, and you can expect to pay $40+ for a dinner with no drinks or appetizers.
The only reason I gave it a rating of 2 was because the sushi was very good. We had a combination sushi, tempura, chicken and beef teriyaki sampler served on a grotesque-looking "ship" they plunked down on our table ($80).The chicken was fry and the beef really fatty and of low quality.
But the worst part and what really detracted from the dining experience was the wait staff and service. Is it too much to ask that our water get refilled, and that you at least glance in our direction occasionally? We were completely ignored and had to go to the counter and ask for water. No thank you, and no goodbye. Sorry to have bothered you. It won't happen again!
